My Holiday Experience - The Story So Far

in Hive Learners2 months ago

You don work you don try try
You suppose to dey j'aiye j'aiye

Most people take the end of the year as a time for reflection. Others take it as a time to repent and do better, some as a time to show love and give. But you see me this year, I had decided ages ago that this holiday will be one for outing (I have refused to be a furniture this year).

The story so far..

Kudos to the hive learners community as I was thinking about writing about this before seeing the prompt. So in this post, I will be sharing what I have done so far and what still to expect.

As I said in my last post, my holiday plans started on the 7th of December with a gospel concert "THE EXPERIENCE" but sadly I couldn't attend due to work and some other factors but I didn't let that one stop me from having fun this December so since a fellow member of hive also invited me to her sister's wedding happening the following day, I cancelled all plans and went. Wellll, we struck a deal though that I will have a takeaway of agang soup (it's been ages since I ate it). She agreed and I saw myself there. Although the day didn't end as planned as I lost my house keys on my way and it was a disaster but that wasn't enough to spoil all my plans. I just have to be more careful with my belongings when out( I'm always indoors so I got carried away a bit). Met 3 new people and guess what they are all on hive.
Pictures at the wedding myself and others.PS I was tempted to wear corperate😅😅

Followed by

FOODAHOLIC FESTIVAL.

This is a yearly event hosted by one of my food celebrities and it was fun. So I participated in a photography master class, almost participated in a raffle draw with Good mama detergent, saw Asherkine where he gave someone #150,000 and another #50,000 in a dance competition. Other fun activities were there also as we were just jumping from one tent to another below are some pictures

Yes, there were free foods and drinks at some corners/tents.

I forgot to add that there was a cooking competition by the host Mrs Gina consisting of 4 teams and the winning team went home with 2million naira and other prizes.

Next on the list was the

Christmas carol in church.

The top of every Christmas holiday is the Christmas carol that churches organise. Most times, people go to different carols because of the trill and all. I can remember when my siblings and I used to go to KICC for their carol service and the distance isn't funny but we went every year.

My church has been hyping theirs for a while now and had to add it to my list. I didn't want to miss it so much that since the carol was by 3pm on Sunday, I decided to wait in church until the time. I didn't go home because I just know myself (I won't want to come out again).
I laughed, I was mesmerised, I sang, I maintained steeze and composure when I saw I was doing too much. The hype was worth it though. Below are some pictures at the carol service. Enjoy

The event ended with a nice candle light with the song "this little light of mine. I'm gonna let it shine".

The last event that will be happening on the 4th of January is the Lagos HIVE HANGOUT and this will be used to end the festive period and the hustle begins (not like it ended in the first place).
