The human mind can be static or dynamic. The human mind is a place deep like the ocean; if you can't swim in the ocean of life through the mind, you may drown but the reverse is the case if you can. The human mind is a complex center; it is so robust. The human mind is a place that shines like light and dims like the dark; good and evil roam in it's terrain. The human mind is unpredictable; you can't predict It's spilt-second reasoning, you can only tell about the action. The human mind can change under warm or harsh conditions. The human mind is where maturity emanates from. The human mind is an entity of it's own that can either control a person or be controlled by the person (good and bad habits).
Today on my meditative mood on what to write for thebeast challenge; I got inspired to write about the “fallow ground of the mind” — Ever heard of a fallow ground? Fallow means uncultivated, untilled, unploughed, unplanted, unused, dormant. It also means a plough and harrow farmland but left dormant or unused. So a fallow ground is a hardened layer of earth, it is an unused, dormant and uncultivated land.
What can we learn from the fallow ground of the mind?
Figuratively, there's a lot we can pick from the meaning of a "fallow ground" and apply it to the human mind.
-1- There are some minds that are just unused. Some individuals with this type of mindset have great potential and yet cannot tap into the power of their mind. They can only use one tenth of it. They find it hard to be productive with their minds. Their mind is always shallow, it is not deep, their mind are always dim and can't shine bright to favour their good cause.
-2- Figuratively there are ploughed and tilled minds that are dormant, this minds find it hard to change from bad behaviour, they have one or two problems, that's why they try to till and plough the weeds growing in their hardened mind but still the mind finds it hard to submit to the desired change. They may have habits of drug, sex, stealing, lying addictions, they will resolve themselves to solutions, seek help but the succour will find it cumbersome to grow on the ploughed ground of their minds. They get bored of abortive solutions after some time.
The mind is a powerful realm, it interpretes the being of a person. It creates the image of the inner picture of a person. We should treat it with delicate care.
To cement the drive of this post; we should try as much as possible to guide zealously the realm of the mind. We should try as much as possible to succumb to change; addiction is hard to break free from, to escape the trap of addiction it is advisable to apply this ancient warning “Prevention is better than Cure” — resist habits that are destructive. Also for those with shallow minds they should stick to friends with creative minds and task themselves to break bounds or push their limits.
Our minds knows no bound --- If we can think it, We can do it.
