¿Cómo está el día de hoy? Yo muy bien, con ganas de comentarle que hace poco vi una película muy loca, la que me daba algo de miedo, ya que está la habían prohibido en varios países por diferentes razones. Sin más, quiero hablarles de la posesión de Deborah Logan, una producción de terror estrenada en el 2014 la cual habla de diferentes temas, entre ellos el alzheimer.
How are you today? I'm very well, I wanted to tell you that I recently saw a very crazy movie, which gave me some fear, since it had been banned in several countries for different reasons. Without further ado, I want to tell you about Deborah Logan's Possession, a horror production released in 2014 which talks about different topics, including Alzheimer's disease.

Un pequeño grupo de chicos que buscaban grabar un documental para un proyecto, decidieron enfocar sus energías en el tema del alzheimer para crear un corto donde se tocara el mismo en la vejez y cómo este llega a lograr que las personas mueran en vida. Así es como llegan a contactar con Mercedes, una chica hija de una paciente de alzheimer como lo es su madre. Mercedes aceptan que estos chicos graben el documental, ya que necesitan el dinero que ellos le habían prometido para seguir con los tratamientos de su madre.
A small group of guys looking to shoot a documentary for a project, decided to focus their energies on the subject of Alzheimer's to create a short film that would touch on the same in old age and how it comes to make people die in life. This is how they came into contact with Mercedes, a girl who is the daughter of an Alzheimer's patient like her mother. Mercedes accepts that these guys record the documentary, since they need the money they had promised her to continue with her mother's treatments.

Básicamente, en toda la película vamos viendo su evolución, pasando de un diagnóstico donde la enfermedad avanzaba muy rápido hasta que vemos el porqué la enfermedad avanzaba tan rápido, gracias a una posesión por parte de un medico que buscaba la vida eterna. La pelicula fue prohibida en diferentes países gracias a los temas de rituales y sacrificios que toca y tambien por el terror fuerte que podía llegar a causar en los espectadores

Esta película es bastante fuerte. Pensé que sería como esas películas donde la gente dice que es necesario salirse de las salas de cine, y termina siendo una total mentira, pero no, la verdad es que si me llegar a dar cierto miedo, aunque era bastante esperable que podía pasar en diferentes partes
This film is quite strong. I thought it would be like those movies where people say that it is necessary to leave the theaters, and it ends up being a total lie, but no, the truth is that if I get to give me some fear, although it was quite expected that it could happen in different parts of the movie.
Ame el plot twist, aunque como dije, este podía ser esperable, pero en específico en esta película, me gustó bastante cómo lo tocaron y cómo trataron de enfocar el mismo. Al final de todo sabemos que Mercedes es el último pilar necesario para crear este sacrificio para la vida eterna, y la verdad me gusto que no hicieran como en la mayoría de películas del estilo, donde van los actores solos super expuestos a lugares peligrosos, sino que la policía fue con ellos y lograron resolver gracias a su ayuda realmente, esto es algo que me gusto, ya que le sumaron realismo a la trama, y obvio también lo hicieron diferente a lo común
Love the plot twist, although as I said, this could be expected, but specifically in this movie, I quite liked how they played it and how they tried to approach it. At the end of all we know that Mercedes is the last pillar needed to create this sacrifice for eternal life, and I really liked that they didn't do like in most movies of this style, where the actors go alone super exposed to dangerous places, but the police went with them and they managed to solve it thanks to their help really, this is something I liked, because they added realism to the plot, and obviously they also made it different from the common.
Otro detalle que también me gustó y muchísimo, el cual es la primera vez que veo algo así en una película de terror, es que uno de los chicos que grababa el documental, cuando empezaron a pasar los sucesos tan extraños, el decidió irse y alejarse de toda esta locura. Personalmente, esto es algo que aplaudo sin duda, ya que la mayoría de nosotros siempre decimos cosas como que simplemente nos iríamos del lugar, y me encanto que incluyeran a una persona realmente inteligente y razonante, la cual se fue anteponiendo su vida a un documental que podría costarle la misma.
Another detail that I also liked a lot, which is the first time I've seen something like this in a horror movie, is that one of the guys who recorded the documentary, when the strange events began to happen, he decided to leave and get away from all this madness. Personally, this is something I applaud without a doubt, since most of us always say things like we would just leave the place, and I loved that they included a really intelligent and reasoning person, who left putting his life before a documentary that could cost him his life.
Como sabemos, lo principal de la película es el tema del alzheimer, el cual se va perdiendo por todo el problema con la posesión, pero realmente me puso a meditar y pensar bastante en lo triste que es esta enfermedad. La posesión logró que Deborah avanzara más en su enfermedad, haciendo que para el final la misma ni siquiera hablara, que fuera básicamente un muerto que respira y come. Esto es demasiado triste, y a día de hoy existen miles de documentales sobre la misma enfermedad, que sí son bastante fuertes de ver
As we know, the main theme of the film is Alzheimer's, which gets lost because of the whole problem with the possession, but it really made me meditate and think a lot about how sad this disease is. The possession made Deborah progress further in her disease, making her not even talk by the end, she was basically a dead man who breathes and eats. This is too sad, and today there are thousands of documentaries about the same disease, which are quite strong to watch.
La película me gusto, si me dio realmente más miedo del que pensaba, pero en algunas partes me dio más risa que otra cosa, ya que las actuaciones no eran las mejores, o eran realmente bastante deficientes, Personalmente le doy un 7.5/10, tomando en cuenta todos los aspectos buenos de la misma y algunos malos también, ya que hay que ser justos
I liked the movie, it really gave me more fear than I thought, but in some parts it gave me more laughter than anything else, since the performances were not the best, or were really quite poor, Personally I give it a 7.5/10, taking into account all the good aspects of it and some bad ones too, since we have to be fair.
