I love finding new under-valued Steemians and this contest is a great excuse to find fabulous bloggers whose post aren't getting the attention they deserve. In case you aren't aware, the Pay It Forward Curation Contest is a weekly challenge from @pifc to find bloggers to promote.
If you want to know some of the things I look for when curating for Pay-it-Forward, please check out this article on How to Get Curated.
Here are this week's selections - reputation 55 or under.
Selection #1 - @saylds12 (rep 52)
Lassi de Mango/ Bebida ayuvérdica
Here is a yummy recipe that's totally worth hitting the "translate" button on Chrome for! A combination of mango, coconut milk, cream makes up the base of this soothing summertime drink. Take a look for the rest of the recipe to make your refreshing Mango Lassi!
At the time of writing, this post had just 0.03 STU to its credit. Let's give it some love.
Selection #2 - @farm-mom (rep 48)
FOOD FOR THOUGHT #FFFsplatz
I loved the touch of daily life of this post. (Including the naked baby - I sometimes yearn for those days with my own children.) Farm life is a bit of this and a bit of that on a daily basis (something I also dearly miss.) Get a sampler of daily life with this blog.
At the time of writing, this post anticipated 0.21 STU. It needs more, don't you think?
Flash-Back of the Week
This has proven fun - and is not meant to be part of the contest, just a fun extra. This week, I look back at:
Week 23 - @shaheerbari (now rep 54)
Visiting a Charity School
This is a lovely feel-good article about a school for poor children in Karachi. It's nice to hear about community projects designed to help the poorest amongst us. Every child deserves the chance to become educated and to make a better life for him or herself.
I'm glad to see this old feature of mine doing such good.
These are my selections for this week. Please visit them and give them some love - even if you don't have voting power to spare, a kind word can make all the difference!
Note: All images remain property of the original poster. I've only used their locations.
Previous weeks
(Please consider entering this contest! If you no longer want to be tagged, let me know and I'll take the @ sign off it. People in bold have been active within the past month.* Designates someone involved with PIFC within the past month. Italics means they've been featured as a flash-back.)
Running totals:
Week 45: 52 out of 102 featured bloggers are currently active = 56%
Week 51: 64 out of 114 featured bloggers are currently active = 56%
My personal observations - if you want to stay in the game...
- Don't restrict yourself to a particular niche - contrary to standard blog advice.
- Get involved in at least one community on Discord. Below are three of the communities I'm involved in right now.
- Support others, engage, meet people.
