I just finished watching "Seven Deadly Sins" on Netflix, and boy of boy I want to write about it. It is adult content for sure and has nothing to do with puberty context of the steamy content in conventional Anime. I mean, the sex or the adult part of the anime should have a purpose, but this series, it looked more like they needed some spice into the story.
It all begins in the Kingdom of Liones. The Kingdom is in turmoil, The Holy Knights, who were supposed to be the good guys protecting Kingdom's ass decided to go rogue and take over by plotting and keeping the King and his eldest daughter imprisoned, while two younger daughters, one playing both sides to keep the King and her sister safe and other Elizabeth, the youngest who runs away on a mission to save the Kingdom.
Princess Elizabeth, tired of watching her home fall apart, set off on a mission to find the Seven Deadly Sins—a group of infamous warriors accused of crimes so bad, people weren’t sure if they were heroes or villains.
Liones' has Holy Knights of all sorts, the good, the bad, and the most powerful like Seven Deadly Sins which are on the run because of the bad Knights plotted against the Kingdom to get rid of them.
Adventure Time
Elizabeth’s stumbles upon a shabby little tavern while looking for Seven Deadly Sins to save the Kingdom. There, she meets the most important character of this whole series Meliodas, also known as the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Meliodas is a kid like character, who loves the wine and ale, and owns a tavern. Meliodas has a side-kick, a tiny talking pig, Hawk, who is also known as Captain of the Order of Scraps. Meliodas, always an optimist guy, agrees to help Elizabeth, (also, because he likes other parts of her body, not just her thoughts about saving the Kingdom). They set-off on a Journey to find the other 6 Deadly sins, and have adventures of the life time along the way.
6 Deadly Sins
The road to finding the rest of the Sins was anything but smooth. Diane, the giant who could crush mountains but just wanted to be loved, was the first to join. Then there was Ban, an immortal thief with a cocky attitude and a tragic backstory. King, a fairy king who would rather mope than deal with his issues, reluctantly came along. Gowther, a literal doll, the most socially awkward of the bunch with no emotions, also added his own unique vibe. Merlin, the all-knowing mage also joined the lot. Each had their own reason for joining, with each one having their own back stories and affairs and what not.

The World of Seven Deadly Sins
Like all anime, the world created by the Anime is as important as the story and plot. The world in Seven Deadly Sins (specifically season one), consists of the Kingdom of Liones which is part of a larger geography called
. The journey of Sins and Elizabeth and Hawk took them across all of Britannia, a land full of magical forests, creepy ruins, and dangerous knights who didn’t know when to quit. The world felt alive, like you could almost hear the whispers of its history in the wind. Every location seemed to have its own secrets, which only made the adventure more unpredictable.
Bonus
Hawk, the talking pig has a mother, and she is a giant pig. The tavern is actually mounted on top of her and travels along with the Sins and she is kind of their RV with home on top.

Affairs!
As I mentioned above, the steamy part, the sex, the cheesiness, and the curiosity that takes Meliosas' hands to places on the geography of Elizabeth, well, that's not it, turns out, everybody has a backstory and that is about their affairs with either another Sin or someone else who is dead and needs to be revived or resurrected!
While Meliodas is all for Elizabeth, King has a secret crush on Diane for 100s of years. Ban, loves the sister of King who also happened to be a Fairy protector of the Fountain of Youth in Fairy's forest. Ban ends up being an immortal, while his beloved dies fighting a demon and Ban unable to protect her.

Or did I mention already that they have crazy ages, like Meliodas is alive since 3000 years.
Battles!
The battles? Absolutely epic. Meliodas had this insane move called Full Counter, Diane could literally move mountains, and Ban has speed and was practically unkillable. Merlin can stop time, teleport, and much more and King has powers of the forest and
tree and has amazing attack, but it wasn’t just about who had the coolest powers—the fights often pushed the group’s trust in each other to the limit. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but somehow they made it work. The victory almost always depended on whole team and them coming together complimenting each other's powers.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack was great too. From the intense battle themes to the quieter, emotional moments, the music pulled you right into the story. And let’s not forget the voice actors, who brought just the right amount of humor and drama to their roles. I particularly liked the voices behind Elizabeth and Diane. Elizabeth being innocent low tone while Diane being angry and naughty.
The History and the Past!
Each Sin (character) carried a heavy burden from their past, and these personal struggles added depth to their characters. King couldn’t let go of his guilt, and Ban’s story of lost love and bad parenting hit hard.
Even Meliodas, always so upbeat, had a darkness in his past that loomed over him. These moments gave the story an emotional weight that balanced out the action. Despite their history and reputations, the Sins showed they weren’t just about destruction. They were flawed, sure, but they fought for what was right, even when the odds were against them. And Elizabeth? Her belief in them never wavered, even when things looked hopeless.

Sure, if you are a fan of anime, or even if you just want to start off with anime, this is a great series. Season 1 was a rollercoaster of action, humor, and heartfelt moments. The mix of quirky characters, epic fights, and a story that kept you guessing made it a binge-worthy adventure. If you’re into fantasy with a side of chaos, this is your show.
End of Season 1
The first season of The Seven Deadly Sins has 24 episodes with roughly 8 hours of watch time give or take. Netflix released all 24 episodes in English dubbed and Japanese subtitled formats on November 1, 2015.
By the end of the season, the Sins had come together, but their journey was far from over. Bigger challenges and darker secrets waited just around the corner, promising even more twists and turns in the seasons to come.
This is my first post about any review about anything. I chose to write about it because I recently started my journey for Anime and so far I am loving it. Anime gives the creator the power of telling story the way it can not be done with conventional movie making and its more like a graphics novel about the worlds and characters which are mere imaginations of great minds!

A good way to start in the world of anime with this classic and at the same time controversial Shōnen. I'm not a big fan of the Seven Deadly Sins, but it does bring me a lot of nostalgia, to be honest. I hope you continue to enjoy it in the following seasons.
