The soaked asphalt reflects the headlights of cars cutting through the flood. The red light, the growing puddles, the hurried steps of those caught off guard by the storm. I wasn’t expecting it either.

As I waited for my stepson to arrive from his trip, I was surprised by the rain—intense, unexpected, almost chaotic. But there, in the midst of the downpour, the city transformed.

The colorful graffiti contrasting against the gray sky, people seeking shelter, the force of the water carving improbable paths on the pavement. In that instant, I saw the essence of the street: the uninterrupted movement of life, even when the storm tries to stop us.

This is my entry for the @PhotoFeed Contest, Street Photography theme, round 110.

O asfalto encharcado reflete os faróis dos carros que cortam a enxurrada. O sinal fechado, as poças crescendo, os passos apressados de quem não esperava a tempestade. Eu também não esperava.

Enquanto aguardava meu enteado chegar de viagem, fui surpreendida pela chuva – intensa, inesperada, quase caótica. Mas ali, no meio do temporal, a cidade se transformou.

O grafite colorido contrastando com o céu cinza, as pessoas buscando abrigo, a força da água desenhando caminhos improváveis no asfalto. Foi nesse instante que vi a essência da rua: o movimento ininterrupto da vida, mesmo quando a tempestade tenta nos parar.

Essa é a minha participação no @PhotoFeed Contest, com o tema Fotografia de Rua, no round 110.
