Although I'm not a blind optimist, I'm always cautious when something comes my way, which can be either beneficial or not beneficial at all for me or the situation. I prefer to expect the worst and be surprised by a better version... I've always been like that. It has nothing to do with diminishing myself in relation to others or situations.
Sometimes we feel that we don't really make a difference in our professions. But even though we do jobs that more people can do, the way we do them can be decisive in the way we leave a mark.
I gave the example of our profession, but it ends up being more than just our professional side. In our lives, and several times a day, we are called upon to make decisions. The actions may be similar, but sometimes the way we carry out an action can lead to a different behavior.
Different behaviors can generate different behaviors and memories, which accumulate, and which can generate a better feeling....
We know that sometimes the easiest path is not the morally right one. The long road, or the one that requires more effort on our part, is often the one that can generate the best return.
Determination and sometimes almost “blind” persistence can bring greater gains. The gains may not be immediate, and they may not just be because we ourselves are the only ones to benefit. Just like a tree that produces fruit after pollinating its flowers with bees, it shares the fruit it produces (often in quantities far greater than those that ensure its dissemination) with the animals that can benefit from it.
Good deeds generate a chain of events that can be positively unpredictable...
If you think that your actions don't have the weight or importance to change something, try to take a closer look, because surely that pitying action you took has brought a smile to someone's lips...

Apesar de eu não ser um optimista cego, tenho sempre alguma prudência quando algo se me apresenta, que pode ser ou benéfico ou nada benéfico para mim ou para a situação. Prefiro contar com o pior e ser surpreendido com uma melhor versão... Sempre assim fui. Nada tem a ver com o me diminuir perante os outros ou perante as situações.
Sentimos algumas vezes que não fazemos verdadeiramente a diferença nas nossas profissões. Mas apesar de desempenhar funções que mais pessoas as podem desempenhar, o modo como o fazemos pode ser determinante na forma como deixamos uma marca.
Dei o exemplo da profissão, mas acaba por ser mais do que apenas o nosso lado profissional. Nas nossas vidas, e várias vezes por dia, somos chamados a tomar decisões. As acções até podem ser semelhantes, mas algumas vezes, o modo como desenvolvemos uma acção pode levar a um comportamento diferente.
Os comportamentos diferentes, podem gerar comportamentos e memórias diferentes, o que se acumulam, e que podem gerar um sentimento melhor....
Sabemos que por vezes o caminho mais fácil não é o que é moralmente mais certo. O caminho longo, ou que exige mais esforço da nossa parte, frequentemente é o que poderá gerar melhor retorno.
A determinação e por vezes a persistência quase "cega" pode trazer ganhos maiores. Os ganhos podem não ser imediatos, e não ficarem apenas por apenas nós mesmos sermos os únicos beneficiados. Tal como uma árvore, que gera frutos, após a polinização das suas flores feita à custa das abelhas, partilha o fruto gerado (muitas das vezes em quantidade bastante superior à que garante a sua disseminação) com os animais que podem dele beneficiar.
As boas acções geram uma cadeia de acontecimentos que podem ser positivamente imprevisíveis...
Se acham que as vossas acções não têm o peso ou a importância para que possa mudar algo, tentem mesmo ver melhor, pois certamente que aquela pena acção que tomaste, acabou por provocar o sorriso nos lábios de alguém...
