On one of my last walks through Lisbon, I noticed a piece of collage that I thought was magnificent. Naturally, I stopped for a moment to try to understand its enigmatic message...
My analysis may not be that of the artist, who I haven't even managed to uncover. Do any of you know?
The combination of a couple from the 1940s, with their faces superimposed by a set of white shoes... of an almost immaculate whiteness, showing what could be the eyes of each being literally watered by a watering can held in a firm hand...
Is the theme of "vouyeur" what this is all about?
I leave it to your imagination...
I like these works very much, because they end up being seen and thought about, leaving those who come across them somewhat thoughtful, taking the artist's creativity to a different level!
The only thing I know about the piece is that it was produced between November 2022 and July 2024, judging by the Street View photos I took on Google Maps!
Numa das minhas ultimas incursões a pé pela cidade de Lisboa, reparei numa peça de colagem que eu achei magnífica. Como poderia deixar de ser, parei durante uns instantes, para tentar perceber a sua mensagem enigmática...
A minha análise pode não ser a do artista, que eu nem consegui se quer desvendar a sua identidade. Será que algum de vós a sabe?
A conjugação de um casal dos anos 40, com uma sobreposição das suas caras por um conjunto de sapatos brancos... de uma brancura quase imaculada, aparecendo o que poderiam ser os olhos de cada um a serem literalmente regados por um regador que é seguro por uma mão firme...
Será que o tema de "vouyeur" é o que aqui está em causa?
Deixo à vossa imaginação...
Estes trabalhos agradam-me muito, pois acabam por ser vistos e pensados, deixando quem com eles se cruza.
A única coisa que eu sei acerca da peça é que foi produzida entre Novembro de 2022 e Julho de 2024, a ajuizar pelas fotos das capturas que eu fiz no Street View no Google Maps!
