OPPORTUNITY

Based on Mark 10: 46-52 (New Living Translation)
take-the-opportunity It was a day like any other for Bartimaeus, that man known to the people as "the blind man", the man who sat by the road to beg, but no one imagined that day although he started like any other It would be the day of his miracle.

Sitting in the same place as always, begging, hoping that someone would take pity on his blindness and give him some coins, he would hear that Jesus, the man from whom he had heard who worked miracles, was nearby.

Even though Bartimaeus could not see, he had a good ear, surely he had heard how Jesus had healed many sick people and had performed miracles, then surely he thought quickly that this was his opportunity, so he resorted to the only thing he had: his voice. He was blind, perhaps despised by his impediment and frowned upon, but nothing prevented him from shouting using the phrase: "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Many began to shut him up, but he instead shouted even louder.

What would we have done in Bartimaeus' shoes? Would we have believed that there was a miracle waiting for us? Would we have shouted insistently? If they kept quiet, would we still scream even louder?

In life we find situations similar to Bartimaeus, we are sitting there instead of always, with our same problems as always, however Jesus walks near us, but most of us are so accustomed to our problems that we think that there is no solution, far from taking advantage of the presence of God we let it go, far from shouting to implore divine intervention, we shut up and we get used to the life we live without realizing that God wants to work in our life to see our insistence because that happen

The insistence of that blind man who was being silenced by those who looked at him less called the attention of Jesus who called him, with a leap he got up, threw aside his coat and approached Jesus. I believe that every step that Bartimaeus took towards Jesus was a sure step of faith that made him see his miracle ever closer. I do not think Bartimaeus doubted what was going to happen, on the contrary, I think that from the moment he stood up and shot his coat he knew what would happen.

Jesus asks him: "What do you want me to do for you?", Bartimaeus responds: "I want to see", and Jesus answers him literally in the following way: "And Jesus said to him: You can go, your faith has healed you. Instantly the man was able to see and follow Jesus along the way "Mark 10:52 (New Living Translation).

I am struck by two things in this biblical passage, the first: Jesus says: "your faith has healed you", beyond the limitless power of God there must be a sure faith in all those who seek a miracle of God, because it is FAITH that causes those miracles. The second: Jesus says: "You can go", however the writing narrates what Bartimaeus did: "and followed Jesus along the way", Jesus gives him the option of going to enjoy his miracle, however the man decides instead of walking away, follow Jesus. What do we do when we receive a miracle from the Lord? Do we walk away satisfied already by what God did or as thanks to what He did we decided to follow Him?

It is time to take advantage of the daily opportunities that are presented to us, it is time to activate the faith that will lead us to see miracles in our lives.

When you approach God, he wants you to approach confident that He has the answers you need, God does not want you to doubt, He wants you to trust blindly in Him and what He is capable of doing.

The Bible says: "So, when we have any need, let us approach the throne of God with confidence. He will help us, because he is good and he loves us. "Hebrews 4:16 (Translation in current language).

Maybe today you find yourself in the same place as always, there begging for your problem, so used to that, Jesus is close, you can hear how he is doing amazing miracles, so, in this scenario you have two options: to stay seated accustomed to the routine of your day to day or do something different, activate your faith, pray for a miracle and insist until the attention of the Lord and when that happens to run to Him trusting fully that you will find the answer you need.

May your faith be the key that opens the doors of the answers you need!

The faith that Bartimaeus had was what led him to achieve his miracle, he was sitting by the road, when he started screaming, he was told to shut up, but this man did not care about the words of the enemy, but shouted louder, that we must do each one of us not to rest until Jesus listens to us.

A great teaching that story, never get tired of asking the Lord for the help we need; clamor with insistence to be heard.
