I've been looking for some SEO analysis of Steemit and didn't find any. So, I decided to make my own. In this article I will check the main SEO parameters of Steemit. And I plan to make such analysis of Steemit every month to compare it's dynamics in the future.

- Alexa.com (free) - discover website rank in the world
- Google PageSpeed Insights (free) - check overall technical score for mobile and PC versions
- Tools.Pingdom.com (free) - website speed checker

Ahrefs Rank 12381 (the lower the better), Domain Rank 64, Number of backlinks 15,8 millions, Referring domains 20 500
We can see that Steemit has very good backlinks in profile, Google loves such links as nytimes.com and wikipedia.com.

Alexa.com: Steemit is almost one of the 1000 of most popular websites in USA and holds a 2036 place in the world. Also the overall dynamics is impressive.
Similarweb.com: estimated website traffic is 19 millions of visits per month and growing. Also we can see the behavioral factors here: average visit duration 5:35, pages per visit 3.72 and bounce rate 55.93% (procent of users who close website immediately), and these are good figures.
We can see that 27,6% of all traffic comes from USA
Half of traffic comes from search engines, and nearly 30% users come to site directly (they already know and love Steemit)

Before we move on, let's check the number of pages in Google index. You can do it by typing in google the query: site:steemit.com and we can see that Steemit has 771 000 pages in Google index, not bad.
I would like to say a few words regarding website speed and here we have some problems. Google has a usefull tool Google PageSpeed Insights (you can check it here https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=en).
It shows average score for Steemit on mobile
on PC the score is better but not the best
Also, I checked the website loading time using Tools.Pingdom.com. For my test I emulated New York location
As we see, it's load time is very slow. Pictures and scrypts are heavy.
let's compare this with what Alexa.com shows us
As we can see, website has some speed and technical problems. But Steemit is growing fast and has very good SEO parameters.
