At the beggining of BER months , Christmas spirit can already be felt here in the Philippines . Filipinos are starting to prepare and set up everything that has something to do with Christmas . The excitement and fun of having all this preparation and activities before and during Christmas are all enjoyed by the pinoys.
So what are some of the signs and symbols to know that Christmas is approaching in the Philippines?
Decorations
When you see chritmas trees , christmas lights , belen , parols, in each one of the houses herr in Philippines , that means September already started . People starts to decor their houses as early as this month for having a long feeling of having Christmas around.
Christmas songs playing everywhere
Hearing different Christmas songs anywhere you go , houses , malls , stores , with matching big speakers and all you can do is sing along even silently , worst is you'll have LSS , hahaha. Well this one's never missing on pinoys Christmas season , if you may want to check on youtube 'Jose Mari Chans' xmas song, is the most played one.
Puto bung bung and bibingka
These two are just examples of the great dishes Filipinos are having during christmas season , we them 'kakanin'. You can usuallu find and buy them outside churches after every holy mass . Buy then , you may also find it in streets and markets
**Simbang Gabi (Holy mass before sunrise or in the evening )
This is a special holy mass happening from December 16 to 24 , usually done very early morning or at night. There are also special shows about how Jesus Christ was born on the last day or the 24th
Carolings
These are also christmas songs , but prefer to call it carols , so before and during christmas you'll witness peopel doing carolings . Pinoys will go from house to house and sing christmas songs for you , live . Then you would have to give them money or coins, whatever amount you want. Usually happening every night.*
Simoy ng Pasko (Christmas Ambience)
This is one of my favorite , during christmas season. Whenever you feel the cold breeze of the air blowing , Christmas is really approaching. Sometimes you'll have rain too, comparing to other countries they have snow
There , i am not sure if i miss anything , but yeah if you know more feel free to comment it down. So yeah , sunce we transferred here last March , i wish i can have some simole christmas decorations here . Have a happy early Christmas my dear fellow Steemians ❤️
Much Love,
