Hello there!
Today, I'm thinking back to that beautiful sunny day in November, when my husband and I last went out for the weekend. A day when we walked without rushing and enjoyed the peace.

This ancient, once resort town near Kyiv is surrounded by forests and lakes. There are few people on the streets, especially in the cold season. It is an ideal place for a walk. But my goal was something more - to see the old wooden houses built in the 18th and 19th centuries. I really like wooden carvings.
All of those houses are more or less abandoned. They may disappear soon, and we will see it only in the photos.
The next find is the former pioneer camp. But it has one thing in common with those beautiful wooden houses - it is also abandoned and crumbling. Our arrival startled several schoolchildren who were playing there.
One can imagine that it was once very beautiful.
As you can see, the paint is peeling off, the floor and ceiling are rotten, and the windows are without glass. The electrical wiring was stolen.
And here are the remains of my favourite wooden carving. This means that this building was constructed in such a way as to harmonise with the existing buildings.
This is another building on the camp's territory. In the main building, various events were held, perhaps concerts or dances, or film screenings. And this is where the children or the staff lived.
Another house for accomodation. A tree fell on it, and no one is taking it away.
This is house number 8.
The Pioneer Camp belonged to a Kyiv tannery, which decided to get rid of non-production areas after the collapse of the USSR. Thus, the buildings of the camp were transferred to tenants. Later they were sold. Then the integral property complex was divided into several plots, which now belong to individuals. Here you can see that part of the territory has been fenced off.
Behind the fence, someone started building on the neighbouring plot and abandoned it as well. I don't think it's the karma of this place, because the land value here is quite high. Maybe the war stopped the construction.
I mentioned that this town is surrounded by forest and lakes. Picturesque place.
We did not notice how we passed the whole town. We decided to return to the parked car on a parallel street to see more.
While I was taking pictures of another abandoned dacha, my husband found out that this wooden house with carvings was standing on the same plot on the opposite side as the other one we had already seen (in the previous post).
Someone clearly lives in this house. There is a cat sitting at the entrance. But the backdoor part is about to fall off.
Bullet holes are evidence of the fighting that took place here in February-March 2022.
Again with the lovely carving. This house is divided in half between different owners. As you can see, they disagreed on the colour of the facade. In fact, the law should prohibit this, but...

Great walk. Glad to see the later pictures to see the details of the carvings on the house. You got some great pictures! What beautiful place, a bit sad it has been abandon. Those bullet holes are scary. Thanks for sharing.

Hello friend, how beautiful that whole walk and experience of being able to be there and document each object that you found, also the deterioration of the things is very serious and it would be great if someone could reconstruct them and that way they sleep for many years. Los Lagos is another perfect thing and offers an excellent view. I hope you continue traveling together and discover more spaces like that.
