Come shooting with us. Part 1.

Okay, now don't panic as we only hitched a ride on the clay shooting truck to get us to the mountains.

The only way that we could get access to the far side of this 4000 hectare farm, was to be members of an activity that could cross the off limit boundaries. So, there is an activity called Clay Shooting Adventures and after we pleaded and explained that I only wanted to take photos of nature, the management kindly relented and invited us along for the ride.

This was our taxi and as we waited for the gun crew I picked my spot for the trip. A bad spot because of the bumps and ruts in the road, but perfect to get camera shots during the ride.

The first kilometer was a nice ride on tar between fruit trees, grape vineyards and other lands of produce.

But then we entered the real dirt road with the bumps and grinds. During some bumps it felt like my spine would fall out hahaha.

I suppose one of these giants would sell at a price equal to that of a new car.

At stages on the 3 kilometer dirt road drive, this was the road behind us.

Finally we arrived at the clay pidgeon shooting range.
As @galenkp is involved in shooting ranges and its activities, he can tell you more about what was going on here. I will do this range in a seperate post.

The sound of this baby when it was fired and the echo so near the mountains would also instantly block your ears, as it did ours.

But we were here to shoot with my camera and this is one of the views, with the ocean in the distance.

So yes, I took some great photos here and also got some lovely bird shots. In fact I will post the bird shots as Part 2 of this post in #featheredfriends a bit later today.

Here below is one example of the bird shots that I will post in part 2 at #featheredfriends today.

And for now, I will love and leave you until later.

Noisy gun, clay pigeon shoot is fun we did it years ago, allowing the boys to enjoy entertainment on a farm.

Scenery across the valley down to the sea gives an idea of being higher up on the mountainside.

Have a wonderful Sunday to the family.

@tipu curate

Thank you Lady Joan and that gun in the picture is a long range rifle for target shooting.
They use single barrell shotguns for the clay targets and I saw a lady there that got a few on her first try. Some guys were woeful, but of course the trainers were experts and they hit every one.

The shot guns are noisy, but that long range rifle more so, as it has that "ping" sound accompanying the blast.
Can you believe that I got a Jackal Buzzard in a high tree right next to the shooting range and he was not bothered by the noise. Maybe he had earplugs in hahahah.

Thank you kindly for the tip and hope that you guys will have a good new week.

Sounds like a typical Hungarian road. 😂😂😂
Greetings from Hungary.

Hahaha, it all depends on the driver doesn't it?
When you hit those bumps and cracks at speed, your teeth rattle and your ears fall off.
But slow and easy makes it a little bit better.

The young lady driver knows that road up to the mountain very well, but at times it felt like my eyes would drop out 🤣

So yeah, we have the same roads as you guys in Hungary.

Cheers and have some !PIZZA

lol the sound of shots being fired always leaves me edgy, and that bird looks like she's up to something!

lovely photos

Oh yes, it can be unnerving, but thankfully it didn't bother me, as I knew that they were not killing shots.
I agree as instead of flying up, the bird went down and the only time that they do that is when they score something to eat.

Glad that you liked the photos my friend.

I definitely would prefer the shooting of a camera too @papilloncharity, and while there is a great interest in by many they are not my thing. Ear muffs would be an absolute necessity. You got some good shots are you bumped along in the truck.

Thank you Lady Angie and I had enough of shooting in the army. So yeah I prefer to shoot with my camera and to show others the works of our our Master designer.
I still have a couple of painfull reminders of that truck, but hopefull we will be back on it soon.

A guy there told me about a hidden dam on the farm that the African Fish Eagles visit.
So that dam and me are going to become the best of friends, as I told him that they can drop me there at 9am on a Saturday morning and collect me at 4pm in the afternoon.

Hope that your new week started well.

Blessings and have a !PIZZA
