'Domino Ware and Pears'

For those interested in details......this watercolour is painted in a loose way...painting within areas determined by line and letting the water and watercolour within a certain area mingle.  Begin by tracing onto the watercolour paper one's drawing. Using this style the watercolour process begins with dry watercolour paper, in this case D'Arches Watercolour Hot Press...a very smooth surface.  This approach allows one to leave the watercolour and come back to it when ready to paint once again. The first two paintings are close up photographs of the third image which is the the completed painting. The black and white photograph of the painting assists in determining if the tones are reading and if they are moving throughout the painting.
