Q: Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Ignas Blažys, I am a 3D Character Artist and Animator from Lithuania. I was born in a small village in the northern part of the country where I spend my days constructing my own action figures from anything surrounding me. I always loved to take inanimate objects and give them a second life as my own made toys. Like any kid, I loved to play video games on my parent's work computer, while games were fun, I accidentally stumbled on 3D graphics. Once I first tried to make something I was instantly hooked.
Q: What is your art background?
Unfortunately, there was no university in Lithuania teaching 3D specifically, so I went to study graphic design which I never regretted, it was a great way to learn basics in composition, drawing, and design.
After that, I applied to work in a production company in Berlin where I spent another 3 years and then eventually came back to Lithuania. It all combines to something like 8 years of working in this field now.
I would describe my style as being a mix of Baltic folklore, mechanical engineering, and architecture. But don’t get me wrong, I love to make dancing shit emojis too sometimes, I keep them in my private folder tho :)
Q: How long have you been in cryptoart/ NFTs, how did you discover them and what has been your experience so far?
I've been in cryptoart for like a few weeks, so I am not an early adopter, unfortunately. One thing I must say is that I hate that we have this old PoW technology dominating the market and we don't encourage full-on switching to PoS model and make the cryptoart scalable, hopefully we will have it in the near future, let’s not continue fucking up our planet :)

Q: Any new art or upcoming projects you would like to tease?
I have a few projects cooking up in my head and a few old projects I would like to resurface and show it off.
Starting with the old, I have this Pseudobot collection which are minimalistic weird robots just doing their thing. The main motivation to make them was me wanting to learn mechanical rigging so no super exciting story...but they all are animated and looping! So may look really good in the collector's hands that love darker artwork.
Also an entirely new piece for my Walking Architecture collection, which is an idea to take a building from somewhere in the real-life and transform them into characters:
Q: What are your top three favorite pieces of art you have tokenized on NFT Showroom?
The Pigeon Keeper
The Puppet
Tri-Whistle

No question, just a huge compliment <3 You're art is truly stunning, I came across "The Pigeon Keeper" a while ago when NFTShowroom tweeted about it, and I hopelessly fell in love. Such a beautiful story, I wish I knew more English words to describe it properly ^^
I've seen you kind of started blogging here on Hive, looking forward to seeing more of your art in my feed :)
All the best <3
