Original Art Photography Series by @velimir #115 'The Crack'

in #art7 years ago

The name of this art photograph is: 'The Crack'

This is a very symbolic photograph. It symbolizes a break-up of a relationship, a broken heart under a waterfall of tears. All that old-fashioned, emotional stuff very few people care about today. The red heart full of love is just lying there, all sad and lonely, surrounded by darkness.

The composition has four distinctive parts. The white wall, the dark pavement, the crack and the red petal. Let's start with the structure of the white wall. Those thick lines are pointing downward like tears dripping. The black crack is saying so much on its own. It is dramatically joining down with the dark shape. The red rose petal is positioned just in the right place to create beautiful colour balance, a perfect accent to the rest of the image.

I love how the white shaped wall bears two almost invisible colours. Super light pink and yellow, perfectly working together in this symphony of sadness. Not much more to say about it. This one very much speaks for itself.

It could be used on "Dear John" letter envelopes or for an album cover for the eighties music revival band. :D

Enjoy! :)
