In our defense creative weirdos are free to roam around in PALnet too. The only difference is that we aren't very tolerant of personal attacks. We set a low bar and then enforce highly rigid community standards. Literally everyone on this platform that is capable of handling themselves are welcome to be in there. We're carving out a space that's different from all the other flaming communities out there. People that don't follow the standards are removed until they can.
I don't think it's a big group thing. I think it's a don't be an ass thing. Frankly we even tolerate a little of being an ass as a learning experience, but people that double down are shown the door.
