Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge:
Radiated Brute

This week's pick belongs to the Fire Splinter: Radiated Brute You can see a breakdown of my battle below:
----------------------> Link to watch battle <----------------------
Round 1

I had suspected a physical-damage based team, but was met with an entirely magic-driven team instead, countering my tank card, Disintegrator, and his Demoralize ability perfectly.
However I also chose my team in a way to stack my total health as an additional precaution - now we'll just have to see if it is enough.
Rulesets:
Rise of the Commons - Only common and Rare monsters may be used in battles
Silenced Summoners - Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities
The Team:

Disintegrator
Amazing card to include in your team if you are expecting the opposing team to be heavily melee oriented.
Weakness: magic damage
Demoralize: Reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters by one
Trample: When a monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next enemy
Radiated Brute
This is an underused card in the Fire Splinter. While he may not be the "best" Reach monster in the game, I believe he has a place where he can shine in the Silver-Ranked levels. With 3 starting attack, 6 health and the Reach ability, he really isn't a bad choice as a backup tank for the 5 Mana cost.
Reach: Melee attack monsters with the reach ability may attack from the second position on the team
Kobold Miner
I love to run teams with Sneak monsters, and the Kobold Miner is a great one for only 2 Mana cost. With 2 Attack and 4 Health at Level 4 it is a great card in Silver level battles.
Sneak: Targets the last monster on the enemy team instead of the first
Lava Spider
An underappreciated Snipe monster. With 2 ranged damage, 3 speed and 5 Health this spider can easily disrupt the enemies defensive line by picking out squishy damage dealers and supports.
Snipe: Targets enemy monsters with Ranged, Magic or no attack that are not in the first position
Tenyii Striker
A super valuable addition to any team, the Tenyii Striker is a formidable sneak monster who will decimate the opposing enemy team from the backline. With 3 attack and 6 Health at Level 3 it will kill many creatures in 2 hits while being able to absorb a decent amount of damage himself in Silver level battles
Round 2

The Disintegrator barely made it through the first round, and the Fire team seemed to be having trouble making much of a dent due to the additional +2 Armor they brought to the fight with the Protect ability. It may seem like its not tipping in our favor...
Round 3

By the beginning of the 3rd round significant damage had been traded between the two teams and it just became even more unclear who would be the last left standing and claiming victory...
Round 4

The significant health pool on our Fire team provided significant resilience and longevity allowing our superior firepower the time to drill away at the opposing team's stacked defenses. At this point I'm hopeful to somehow snag a W
Round 5

It's up to just Tenyii Striker to dish out the damage needed to defeat the remaining two enemies. It quickly becomes clear how important every single health-point is in determining this battle...
Round 6

Although the Lava Spider fell to the first position and could therefore no longer use its ranged attack, it was able to absorb several attacks allowing Tenyii Striker the time to hack away to victory. Love that sword-wielding guy.

Amazing battle showing off some great Chaos Legion cards in the Fire Splinter. The Radiated Brute is a surprising card in Silver, especially when coupled with the Summoner: Tarsa. Thank-you for your time and attention; I hope you enjoyed the post! Cheers!
