  • Volcan Miravalles, Las Hornillas

Thought I would do a more personal blog today and show you some pictures from my trip to Costa Rica last year.

What an adventure this trip was. The picture above is a non active volcano that was quite the trip to get too, up over 10,000 feet. There was just 1 beautiful restaurant here but I was so nausea from the uphill drive that I couldn't even eat the delicious food. The food everywhere was really good though.

The country has a mantra called Pura Vida...which means Pure Life. They have a high importance on health, life and doing this natural. There are limited designated spots where you can only smoke, anywhere else is illegal. The country has no standing army. It was constitutionally abolished in 1949.

  • Catarata Llanos De Cortes: such beauty this waterfall. Had to track through a bit of forest before reaching this spot. You can walk behind the waterfall and there is a spot where you can lay down on some flat rocks while the water falls on yourself giving you a nice massage. =)

Howler monkey's. These were the coolest!! So many right beside our hotel. If you clap and howl, they all do the same back. Every morning you can hear them in the trees howling so loud. Loved it!!

There are over 130 species of fish, 220 of reptiles, 1,000 butterflies (10% of the world’s butterfly's are in Costa Rica!), 9,000 plants, 20,000 species of spiders and 34,000 species of insects!

Me and my lovely girlfriend @izzylira went for a peaceful horse back ride through the forest.

Costa Ricans call themselves Ticos and Ticas

Such amazing nature everywhere!!

More than 25% of Costa Rican land is protected national parks and refuges.

400 year old tree!

Costa Rica takes up .03% of planet’s surface but holds 5% of its biodiversity!

I hope this post has brought you the feeling of Pura Vida Life!
Do not hesitate to visit this magical place.

Keep in mind the weather showed all rain and thunderstorm for everyday. I believe it always does show this but the weather is beautiful, food is delicious, the diversity is vast and the people are so friendly.

Have a great day all! IMG_3715.JPG

wow beautiful!

Amazing! I cannot wait to visit Costa Rica. Fabian Chacon (CRI) knocked me out of the 2015 bodyboarding world championships. I'm coming to get you Fabian, lol.

I can't believe @beachbuminvestor is just finding out about beachwednesday! Thank you @bitdollar for sharing the pics.

That sounds so exciting for you @beachbuminvestor. Would love to hear your bodyboarding stories. Thanks for the support!

beautiful scenery

Yes can't wait to return

That is my native Country for you! I went last year to Manuel Antonio, Quepos I took some photos, but the resolution of my photos is inferior to yours.

It is beautiful. Do you visit still?

Every five years I take two weeks off to visit friends.

That is really cool!

Thank you!

Damn I just saw this. I love Costa Rica so much that I bought 2 properties there in 2006 right before we had the Economic Collapse and I lost my car business due to non pay's on buy here pay here loans. I had 4 acres up on Playa Blanca near Punta Arenas in the Province of Guanacaste, within walking distance of a beautiful white sand beach, and I had a Condo on Jaco Beach. I lost both of them and also my House in Miami a year later, had to down size into a supplement store and the rest is history. It is an amazing country, except for that rainy season that is insane lol.

What a story, thank you for sharing. Sorry for your loses. We need to talk more, I've been through the ringer also, think we would have a lot more in common. I stayed in Guanacaste at the Riu. Such an amazing country and would love to have a place there one day.

That is what makes us be able to tolerate incredibly stressful situations in the future. I am glad I experience a lot of it early in my life to prepare me for anything to come in the future. Did you do any fishing? I love fishing and never got a chance to go the times I was there but saw people catching huge snooks right off the rocks near Jaco Beach.

I say the same thing. Glad I went through it early and not at a worse time. It really was all a blessing because I learned and came into such great perspective that I wouldn't not want to know. I would not want to go back to the times before without the knowledge and clarity I received during those "down times".

amazing post babe! loved every word and picture! PURA VIDA
