We recently visited the Lieber State Recreation Area at Cagles Mill Lake here in Indiana. I have to say a walk in nature was just what we needed.

The first thing we did was walk the Covered Bridge Nature trail. It was not a very long trail but we enjoy it and getting to see this cute little bird feeder.

Then we went to the lake. There sadly was not any trails going around it but the lake was beautiful to see.

There were various other things to see in the area as well. Like this dam and the beautiful lake it controls.

And this gorgeous little creek. It was easy to see by the trees along its shore, that the water rises from time to time.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable day!

A big thank you to @ace108 for hosting the #beautifulsunday and to @c0ff33a for hosting the #sublimesunday tags each week!

Sunday walks are the best and yours very enjoyable and relaxing :)

Thanks! :)

What a lovely place to have a walk with the covered bridge trail and cute bird feeder.

It was a sweet area to hike, I'm glad we went. :D

Its a beautiful place. And l hope the bridge isnt that scary one to walk on. I love the environment. So serene. Thanks for sharing @debralee

That bridge did look a little scary. We loved our hike around that area of Indiana.

Looks like a wonderful place to visit if even for a short walk! Beautiful photos Deb and I love that covered bridge! Glad you had an enjoyable day and shared it with us!! xoxo ❤

Thanks @deerjay! It was a very beautiful place to explore. xoxo

You're very welcome Deb!! ❤

Great photos and beautiful location, i love the bird feeder.

I love that bird feeder too, It was very nice to run across it on the trail.

Now that is a great way to spend the weekend. I was outdoors for a few hours today but just in my backyard. A couple of clouds and some birds singing and that was about it.

Have a wonderful week!

I hope you've had a wonderful week too! It's been raining here for a couple of days but we've needed it.

Looks like a beautiful park! And a great covered bridge! I've been to a few of Indiana's covered bridges. There are so many wonderful ones!

Indiana does have some beautiful covered bridges.

I saw a few, and have always wished I could do a summertime picture taking tour. All the photos I have are wintertime.

What a beautiful park, I love that Bird feeder

We have not gotten out as much as I'd like to this summer so I really enjoyed it.

@debralee Thats good its been the same for us But I get out for walks early morning in the city occasionally

This walk of yours encourages me to do some walking. :-)

I'm glad it does, nature is so beautiful. :)

So those are bird feeders ?!! I see them and kept wondering what they were 😁 At some places they have very huge ones !!
Guess you had a nice sunday walk 😊

This one is a bit bigger than most bird feeders I've seen. Thanks!

A nice trail good for not so tough walk.
FYI, in this sentence, I think one of the word should be "dam":
There were various other things to see in the area as well. Like this damn and the beautiful lake it controls.

Thank you! :D

You're welcome

You're welcome

beautiful pictures! It looks like a great day :)

Thanks, it was. :D

Beautiful park! The red cover bridge and the red bird feeder are wonderful accents to the natural surroundings.

I agree, it was well worth the beautiful drive to get to it as well.

Lovely walk in the park! Beautiful little bird feeder. I would hope that it is kept full for the birds, especially in the winter. Too bad that you can't walk around the lake. Is it permitted to canoe or kayak around it? Missed seeing you. A busy summer?

They do seem to keep the feeders full in most parks. It has been a busy summer. Joining the server & starting streaming games on Twitch has also added to things I have to get done. I didn't see any kayak's on the lake but I can't think of any reason they wouldn't let someone do it. I hope all is well with you. ((Hugs))

That lake just cries out for a canoe...beautiful peaceful park. Summer always seems busier although I seem to be able to find things to keep me busy all the time!

Gorgeous siSTAR! 💚💚

Thanks! :D

Looks like a grand Sunday. I LOVE covered bridges. Luckily, we have many in this area. They are so old-school. So nice they preserve them. And make bird houses to match ( :
It looks very humid in those photos. I remember it well from growing up. 100 degrees, 100%. No reason to take a shower. Have a nice night.

I love covered bridges too and we have many of them across the state. When I use to live further south, we'd go visit them because a few were close by. It has been a humid summer here for sure. I hope you have a nice night too. :)

Short as it may, it is still a nice place for a walk. I would love to go there and spend as much time as I want :) What other activities can you do there? Can you swim or fish perhaps?

This comment was made from https://ulogs.org

You can swim there. They have a nature center, basketball court, camping, fishing, hunting certain times of year, playground and picnic areas, and water skiing.

I've never been to your country. And I really like to look at photos of your nature. Very nice!

I'm glad you enjoy it. I've also never been to Germany and enjoy seeing it through your eyes. :D

I regret that I involuntarily misled you in some way. But, I do not live in Germany. I am Russian and live in Russia.

It looks like a nice place to visit. Indiana is such a pretty state.

Thanks @sunscape! Growing up in the city, I was surprised when I finally got to see what was beyond it. I didn't realize there were so many beautiful cornfields.

I will always be a country girl at heart.

Very beautiful place you visit

I love the roots on that tree!

Me too! :)
