If you were asked to pick a phrase that best describes you what would it be? A good number of people would stick to the first phrase whereas deep down we are all about the second phrase.
Sometimes it's difficult to admit that we are in somethings for the money, we keep using passion and other things to cover up, the challenge with this is that you'll fail to maximize the opportunities you have to make profit.
I used steemit as an example because it's something we can relate with easily, but there are many other ways off the blockchain that we put out amazing work and let it go free while we stay broke.
There's nothing wrong with putting a price tag on what you love doing. People would always want to make you feel bad for doing so, but why care about them. Passion is great, it's amazing to do something you love and have fun but if your wallet is empty but your passion is full, of what use is it?
You don't have to put a price tag on it if you don't want to or if it's truely just a hobby but if there's more to it than just passion, then shake things up a bit.
