Since April alone, the value of 1 bitcoin has increased 275%.
From $1600 to $6000.
Since 2010, the value of 1 bitcoin has increased 5,999,900%.
From $.10 cents to $6000.
And it's expected to hit between 1%-10% of the GLOBAL Forex market by 2030 - which is a $60 Trillion market.
Which will put the value of 1 bitcoin at between $100k and $1M.
What is bitcoin?
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, which is a new type of digital money.
It is decentralized, which means it is not controlled by a centralized financial system, like the U.S. Federal Reserve.
When government and banks control the supply of a currency, they're basically "printing" units of currency, called fiat.
The problem with fiat currency is that most times, that currency can be printed "at will", with no accountability.
This is what causes inflation and the value of a currency to go down.
For example...
The USD decreases 3% in value, every year.
The value isn't backed up by gold or any asset, other than the government telling you it's worth "something".
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is capped at a specific amount (21 million).
This means the value of bitcoin is based on supply and demand...
NOT "faith" and "trust" in a government or financial institution.
Due to it's cryptographic, math based, open-source network, (called the Blockchain), bitcoin cannot be forged or counterfeited...
...unlike the USD.
