Two men dressed in black were hidden in the shadows behind the presidential palace, waiting for Omay to come to the palace. They were both calm, with no sign of anxiety on their faces. They waited patiently for the president who came to the palace late than usual. When the electric car appeared at the end of the tunnel, they didn't show any signs of fuss. The president's car stopped near the back door of the palace. The men stood up and came out of the shadows, put their hoods on their heads, and began to walk towards Omay. When the president's guards turned and looked at them, they started running towards Omay. One of the guards caught the guy on the left and took him down. The second man attacked Omay and stabbed her in the back with his twisted dagger. The dagger was stuck in her heart, and Omay was in blood on the ground. Omay felt she would die in a short period, and there was deep sadness on her face as she was lying on the ground in blood.
The guards managed to capture both of the attackers alive. They knew how important it was to reveal the forces behind the assassination, and Tamra was immediately notified. Tamra came to the scene in tears a few minutes later. The blood lake surrounding showed that Omay was already dead. Her gray hair was scattered, her blood stained red all over her white dress. Tamra swore she'd answer for the bastards who did it at the time. She went to the assassins who were held with their hands tied to the side, spat on their faces, and kicked them. They were only pawns. Despite the brutal action they took, their calmness was due to the marijuana they heavily smoked.
The next day, a magnificent funeral was held for Omay on the fourth floor where the main settlement of Yerşehir was located. Among those walking after the burial was the old man who reported the prophecy that a loved one would be killed in the city. He was so upset about Omay's death that he swore he would never be a mediator to a prophecy for his entire life.
Thousands of people gathered on the main boulevard cried out all over the world in anger, shouting slogans to avenge Omay. Derma was in the front row of the funeral and was barely standing with Sitta's support. Hader, Doma, Tamra, and Akman were also in the front row. It was read from their faces that Doma and Tamra were very upset. Akman, whose heart was broken, drew a cool image from the outside.
After the funeral of Omay was burned with the marches and prayers, the ashes were placed in the presidential tent on earth. Her soul ascended to the sky like a bird, and a loathsome horse took seven laps around the tent. Then Omay's ashes were buried on the ground of the stove in the middle of the tent.
The death of Omay, who had become a living legend during his presidency put the modernists in an awkward position. Doma, Tamra, and Akman met in the Doma's's office to assess the situation. Akman did not make sense to be taken away from his cave and brought to the place. Pupils were reduced by wine and sleeplessness, and the world looked at the bottom of a bottle, and everything seemed distant and meaningless to him.
"Any progress on the investigation?" Doma asked.
As soon as she heard the word of Investigation, Tamra's face was shadowed. “The assassins were slaughtered last night by a guard. Search for the guard continues," she said.
“There is no doubt that this is a coup attempt.”
"The people support us.”
"The majority of the people only support the powerful.”
“We control the army, we are the strong.”
"They have financial power. You have to be very careful," said Doma. After winning the title of the presidential candidate of the modernists in the parliamentary vote, his self-confidence increased and adopted the role of leadership.
“What do you think, master?” he asked Akman.
"This all makes no sense. We're doomed to lose.”
“We're going through a critical turn. We should be calm.”
“Behind the assassination, there's that demon called Hader. East Romans are trying to take over our city,” Akman said.
"Are you sure? Do you have any evidence of this?” Doma asked.
“It doesn't matter. We are defeated,” Akman said.
” I do not doubt that we will succeed in the election," Tamra said, unable to make sense of Akman's expression of hopelessness.
After leaving the office of Tamra, Akman took the suburban train and set out to the area where the underground lake was located. Omay's death affected him so much that he didn't know what he was doing. He went down the train and entered the tunnel to the underground lake. He took off his clothes, waited still for a while by the water, and suddenly jumped into the water as if inspired. The water of the lake was cold, and although Akman moved his arms and legs quickly, he shuddered. He felt as if a vise squeezed his heart. This feeling forced him to dive deep into the water. His will seemed to have been possessed by divine powers, and he no longer felt sorrow as he wandered desperately in the water. He felt the mustache of the blind catfish in his body; the fish seemed trying to comfort him. He plunged into the depths of darkness and cold, without thinking of how he would return. Although his body was affected by the coldness of the water, he was happy with where he was. After all, he wasn't alone, the catfish followed him. Now he was running out of power, he opened his eyes, and she thought that he saw Omay's face. Then he realized he was about to faint. His desire to live became heavy, and he began to swim up. He was so profoundly immersed without realizing that his journey towards the surface of the water was too long for him. Now he was at the edge of his strength; his lungs were going to explode. For a moment, he thought of giving up, and the world was a disgrace. Then he pushed himself up with one last effort. Now his eyes were darkened, and he began to tremble. When he lost hope of salvation, he felt his head rising to the surface of the water. Facing death alleviated the pain of his heart a little. He got out of the water, put on his clothes and started walking towards the train station.
In yerşehir, the conservatives which were led by Hader won the presidential elections by a slight margin. Financial aid from Eastern Rome was distributed to the poor, and a large group came to the city center to vote for the first time in their lives. Hader erected a new statue of Omay next to the presidential tent on earth and appointed a male commander in place of Tamra. The city's leaders were pleased with the new administration because the city started trading with Europe through Eastern Rome. Upon the decision of ex-council members to be banished, several oppositions were heard from the city's leading figures, but because of the city's thriving economy, these objections were soon forgotten.
After the deportation decision, Akman visited Derma and Sitta who he learned that they would soon get married and congratulated them, and he could not attend their wedding because he should leave the city.
Akman didn't want to go to Tarsus and be condemned to the underground when he had just received the light of day. He secretly went to earth to compose a work on the philosophy of nature and began to live alone in one of the forests near Yerşehir. Sometimes he remembered Omay as he wrote his thoughts about nature to the papyrus. He had imaginary conversations with Omay and wished to reunite with her in another realm.
