Malik Monk is a instant cooker, yes, he could provide you the quick instant offence for your team quick!
2016-17 Season Statistics: 19.8 PPG, 2.3 APG, 2.5 RPG, 0.9 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 2.0 TOPG (38 games played, 32.1 minutes a contest) – 49.7% FG, 82.2% FT, 39.7% 3P
Monk made a great choice choosing the University of Kentucky and now he is on his way to become one of the hottest prospect in the 2017 NBA draft. He definitely earned it with 19.8 points a game and has been a key contributor for Kentucky this year.
His 40% 3P may not sound that great, but he took a lot of bad shots because he is very heavily covered and still show the ability to make those kind of shots, there are one stretch in this season, you would think this guy could well be drafted at #1.
One thing may concern is his size, he is a SG with size of 6'3 which is definitely undersized in today's game. You could ask him to handle and distribute the ball, but his efficient might be dropped. He is also not the typical guard where they will provide you good ball defence in which this is an area he really need to improves.
He is best fit for 76ers due to their line up (tall lineup to cover his length and they do not need him to cover the point guard role), I dont surprise to see 76ers to trade down in this year draft.

I agree Monk is a great fit for them. The problem is they pick third. So yeah it makes a lot of sense for them to trade down. However, barring that I hope they reach for Monk at three!
If 76ers go for best available player strategy, the third pick will be josh jackson, but since monk is a great fit without much modification of what 76ers is trying to achieve now, they may go for best player for the team direction. But as the news keep coming in, i may change the mock as well.
He is a shooter all right but when you look at his physical tools with an average wingspan it won't help him be better at defense in which I think what a team mostly need nowadays.

Malik monk is all offensive, he is undersized being a two guard and not a good on ball defender. But his offensive skill is unreal, there was a stretch last year that he is basically unstoppable and very fun to watch. I think 76ers length can really cover his deficient.
You're right about Philly being the best fit for him. I think they'll go a different direction though since trading down from a top 3 pick is incredibly rare in the NBA.
Agree. The rumor now is 76ers third pick for kings 5th and 10th pick, i actually think this is more favourable to the 76ers as i and another kings fan discussing this in steemit. He doesnt like this trade at all. But regardless who 76ers has, they already have a great team once simmons is healthy.

Sounds like some great reasons to draft an offensive type of player.
Reminds me of a smaller JR Smith, able to "create" and make hard shots :D

When you talk about jr smith, he is actually a instant cooker himself too. What set monk apart with him is he is actually quite consistent on what he does. Ofcourse it is just college game but these days everyone need shooting. So let see how it goes.
I think drafting Monk would be great if they make the rumored trade with the Kings for their 5th and 10th, because I don't see him cracking the top 5. The trade would net them him at 5, and another possible franchise player.

Agree, if 76ers go for best player to fit the team, they could easily find market to trade down this year and get some valuable asset even they dont get kings pick, there are still alot of team wanting the 3rd pick and within monk range.
