pride is also thinking that breakthrough idea came because you are too smart, neglecting the God factor.

To keep from straying into pride as you wake up daily say it aloud to God "i humble myself before you", that consciousness keeps you in check.

It reminds me of what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:7. Here's how the Living Bible puts it:

What are you so puffed up about? What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if all you have is from God, why act as though you are so great, and as though you have accomplished something on your own?

My pastor, Rev. Niyi Eboda would say, "For everything remarkable, God is responsible."
