We want to really thank @suesa for giving us this very opportunity to participate in the 500 SP delegation contest, this is a very wonderful and encouraging way of supporting newbies and fresh steemians on the platform. We came across this contest when one of posted it on our WhatsApp group, then we took it to ourself not to miss this pleasant race.
Who are we
Before explaining the reason why we are participating in this contest, what and how we intend to use the 500 SP, there is need for us to introduce ourself properly and also what we do on steemit.
We have made ourself steemit Ambassador (although not officially by steemit Inc.) and fully involved in promoting the platform, why is because we see the need for youths to be greatly involved in activities with great benefits rather than spending their time on social media platforms that only use individuals to generate revenue for themselves, and for the fact that steemit is encouraging us to share ideas and also benefit from it, it will be a great opportunity to lead the run.
We are a community of steemians who stays in Abuja, Nigeria. Abuja is the Federal Capital of Nigeria. Our official account @abuja-steem was created in December and the account has been dedicated to upvote and resteem our member's post.

Reasons why we need this 500 SP
For the period that we have been promoting steemit, we have registered a good number of steemians who have been working hard to earn some SBD, but their posts have not been gaining exposures, as a result of that, they come out with earning very low SBD, we sincerely wish to help from this situation but our Steem Power is too low, so with the absence of a whale in our community earning good amount of SBD has been discouraging.
We want this 500 SP for the Abuja-Nigeria steemit community (Abuja steemians), in order to encourage the newbies with curating their posts and giving the the leverage to keep on posting content on the platform.
Our proof of work on steemit
This year has been amazing promoting steemit. Our first introduction of steemit this year was to a community youths (the link) lot of them have registered, some have been approved.

The second promotional activity was, introducing steemit to about 300 people, of which many have registered but are yet to be confirmed.

The Abuja steemit and cryptocurrency workshop which is coming up on the 10th of February 2018, this workshop is expecting more than 100 people.
We also plan to setup more events to introduce a lot more to the platform, but without help and support, the people invited might get discourage if the platform doesn’t seem as expected. All we are saying is, the Abuja steemit community in Nigeria needs your 500 SP delegation so much.
