Ledger has announced that on its newest crypto wallet the Ledger Nano X will be accessible through Ledger live app via bluetooth.
At the moment any hardware wallet requires you to physically connect a wire to it to power it and input some security measures. You either need to be at a computer or laptop etc in order to access and use them.
However with this new Ledger nano x that supports bluetooth you can now access it via the Ledger live app to access your hardware through your phone.
This wallet is also said to support more wallets which would be a welcomed addition considering I can only seem to load 1-3 wallets on my current Ledger Nano (A serious pain in the ***)
The Nano S is also set to have a price reduction when the new bluetooth support Nano X is released.
This Nano X comes with a price tag of $119 and should be released fully in March. Preorders will happen at the end of this month.
My honest worries about this is security which I am sure many of you though of when you heard about a bluetooth enabled wallet. Im going to sit this one out for a while myself and let some other people use it to search for vulnerabilities with having bluetooth (most likely always on) on the wallet.
I preordered one today... I want to try to have it to have mobile balances for everyday transactions which I hope will continue to increase as adoption increases. The team has been good with security so no reason to start doubting them now in my opinion.
