People will say, "vote with your dollars", meaning take your money out the exchange. I realize that it is not wise to keep your BTC and other alternative currencies on exchanges in the first place. The horror stories of Mt.Gox, Cryptsy, amongst other always come to mind.
But if you trade a few times a day, how is one realistically moving their crypto in and out of these exchanges, before and after each trading session? For me, the time to do so would bubble up and over, as would transaction and withdrawal fees. These markets move fast. I would say faster than any others at this present time. It is great how Poloniex has had their user base increase, but come on dude, you are obliged to handle the volume increase as well, or people will to exit.
I’ve been tapping into the power of positive thinking, so I know it will all balance out. At the same time, I need to be aware of what is going on in my world. There is no excuse for me not belonging to the best possible trading platform(s). Just like anything in life, it’s all about using your time to position yourself in the right place.
Poloniex was the first online exchange on which I started seriously trading, so I will always have love them. However, I need to make the smart move here. If that means going with alternatives, then so be it. I signed on to Bittrex to obtain some PIVX(Instantly Verified Transaction) not long ago. I have also tried LFZ(Lasse Fair), which is really interesting, since it incentivizes trading with royalties. What other exchanges do you recommend?
I am hoping that sooner than later, completely decentralized exchanges will pop up. I would love to see something that works on Ethereum. Who has the skinny on any of these projects?
Thanks so much for reading. May your weekend be a glorious one, take care, and God bless.
On an end note, the last post was for my band Wayside Exchange and it did really well. Bitsburgh's steemit page is well on its way to 100 followers. Thanks to everyone who listened and up voted. More on the way. Be sure to comment, resteem, and/or follow and I will do the same. Go team steem!
Honestly, I usually just freeze my positions back to Bitcoin when lag starts being spoken about in the trollbox, and hold it through. I think that there should be an app that uses an API for the exchange. This way the weight would go on client side. Blockfolio works like this.
Apparently Polo's API is being DDOS. I have Blockfolio, it's a nice little app.
