Morgan Creek Digital's institutional asset management Fund has invested $3.1 million in a RealBlocks startup specializing in real estate tokenization.
The round of financing was headed by Science Inc., investing in projects in the early stages of development. Zelkova Ventures, Ulu Ventures and Cross Culture Ventures also participated in the round.
According to CEO and founder of RealBlocks Perrin Kuarshi, the raised funds will contribute to the accelerated development of the platform.
RealBlocks is an Ethereum-based platform that allows firms to raise capital through tokenized securities. Investors, in turn, can purchase real estate using cryptocurrency and Fiat money. The platform also provides investors with access to offers for private investment in facilities located around the world.
According to Morgan Creek Digital founder and partner Anthony Pompliano, "all stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities will be tokenized in the future." This, he said, is the main reason his company supported RealBlocks.
