Cura Network: blockchain technology for the health

in #cura6 years ago

Cura Network is a global decentralized health system comprising of entities collaborating and sharing data with each other to promote, restore or maintain health
We aim to improve the healthcare universe by making use of blockchain technology to create a unified platform that will power a plethora of health services.
In the end, our goal is to integrate patients, specialists, providers and third-party app developers, into a blockchain ecosystem, which will make health transactions truly efficient, secure, explicit, fast and reliable.
Blockchain technology has a huge potential to change the structure and mode of operation of a variety of industries, from data management, security and medical services and a few other areas.

Blockchain can provide a new platform and structure for the field of health information management by electronicizing medical records, without intermediaries and empowering patients to become owners. for your own profile. In this way, the health information platform backed by Blockchain will help reduce costs for medical providers and patients.

When people look at the health care sector, it assumes that Blockchain's ability to be a silver bullet will overcome challenges with medical records and protect the privacy of patient data.

Current medical records can be transferred, but to integrate them is a very difficult problem. The current Blockchain technology for everyone is still a strange thing for those who do not have an understanding of the issues related to health care and technology. Moreover, the legal barriers to blockchain access today are a matter of concern, where there are potential conflicts that need to be addressed.

Basically, the idea of using Blockchain in health such as: creating medical records securely on Blockchain where it is guaranteed that authorized people can access it anywhere in the world. gender. That's what the Estonian government did - a good example of Blockchain technology in health management. Using large-scale non-key data authentication methods, combined with a distributed ledger, people just need to bring their ID ID to unlock and access medical records their real time. From this point, Blockchain constitutes a clear chain to protect and keep the registration of anyone who uses these records, while still maintaining the compliance process.

The methods used in health include:

Using a combination of multi-signature processes and QR codes, this can provide partial partial access to medical records for medical providers.

Perform anonymous patient data in the synthesis process, to ensure privacy is maintained. This is useful in research, and compares cases with similar disease properties.

Record and label time of medical procedures or events, this will be done to reduce insurance fraud, facilitate the inspection process and implement compliance with services.

Record the maintenance history of important medical equipment, thereby providing a roadmap for permanent inspection and maintenance of equipment.

Bring safety wallet with full electronic medical records in it.

Verify the origin of the drug, to eliminate illegal drug production.

Identities — Each entity on the network will have a unique on-chain self-sovereign identity with unique role based attributes. To create a self-sovereign digital identity, an entity is given a Cura Network Identity (CNID) which is a unique digital identifier along with a cryptographic public/private key pair managed by our mobile client. The CNID is a prefixed hash of the public key on our distributed blockchain

Interaction Between Entities — Cura Network will feature a request/approval system to data access across all entities. Hence, interaction between entities on a base level borders around read/write operations that either broadcast new snapshots or retrieve health data on the network. Further social interactions could be achieved in multiple ways by health applications powered by the network.

Conducting a Transaction — Conducting a Transaction — A transaction is a write operation to the blockchain which is signed by the private key of a user with a valid CNID. A transaction is broadcasted to the network, processed by block producers, and if valid, is published on the blockchain. Only specialists can change the state of health records of patients

Storage of Health Records — We can achieve decentralized storage of health records by leveraging the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS). IPFS is a peer-to-peer distributed file system that seeks to connect all computing devices with the same system of files. A snapshot is taken and stored immutably in the storage smart contract on a blockchain each time a patient’s record is updated during a permissioned session. Each snapshot holds the IPFS hash identifier of the hosted health data. By maintaining snapshots in a time series pattern on our blockchain, we have a versioned history of changes in a patient’s health data.

Cur — This is the currency of the Cura Network; the primary medium of exchange of health data between identities on the network. Cur is also a reward system for active nodes in the network. Cur currently implements ERC20 token standard of the Ethereum network. This will last through the crowdsale process, after which obtained Cur tokens will be swapped for the native currency on Cura Network’s own blockchain network at a rate yet to be determined.
