Upon my recent discovery of the ancient philosophy of Stoicism I have gone in search of all info I can find. Today I happened upon a 3 book series by Tim Ferriss https://tim.blog/2017/07/06/tao-of-seneca/ that is free to all. The ancient Stoics very clearly meant their system to be primarily of guidance for everyday life, not a theoretical exercise and by utilizing these books, one can take many steps into the stoic life. Seneca's letters each contain pearls of wisdom that can be readily applied to our own lives and experiences, and give a real world expression of a philosophical idea.
Stoicism was very much a philosophy meant to be applied to everyday living, focused on ethics (understood as the study of how to live one’s life), which was in turn informed by what the Stoics called “physics” (nowadays, a combination of natural science and metaphysics) and what they called “logic” (a combination of modern logic, epistemology, philosophy of language, and cognitive science).
Used by many CEOs, athletes, and professionals to train their minds, stoicism has something for everyone and as compatible with most all religions. I am just beginning my journey but feel that the concepts and ideas within stoicism are applicable to every human being.

I have read some of the translated Eddas but have never made it all the way through them. It is a bit heavy of a read.
This looks like a fairly easy read in comparison.
