I have done a little experiment for a week, posting fresh content daily on each platforms @DLive and @Dtube, to figure out if it's worth investing time , and by this I mean financially rewarding.
Both of the two platforms have their advantages, I will review first Dtube and its advantage, then DLive.
I don't want to say too much , as pretty much everything that needs to be said in the video !
It was a hectic week, and I posting 3 contents daily was physically and emotionally draining, but I got very valuable infos that you will discover by watching the video!
Note: This review is valid for musician/procuders/Artists only.
I forgot to mention that as for today, @Dtube doesn't work on Iphone but @Dlive does , thanks to @dandays for the info!

The way @dlive gets their money is they take 10% from the delegation and the rest is distributed to the authors. It was in their transparency report recently...

We spoke a while ago about your music. This is a very good analysis you make here, too bad I've only seen it after 4 months. Anyway, it goes to show that DLive is much better than DTube because on the latter I can't see videos which I posted even 2 months ago ...
I noticed you only approved 4 witnesses out of 30 possible (they all get the same "vote", your influence is not being divided among 30, it's like you have 30 times your SP influence)

Things have changed a little for Dtube and DLive few months later, I think Dtube has a curation team on the lookout for good content now, which was not the case at the time of the video. Secondly there's much more Dlive users now than there were 4 months ago, meaning that the reward pool is to split between more users, so it's difficult to get a reward daily.

Hey @edprivat, DLive has no intentions of removing videos. Once they are uploaded they will stay there. I heard that question in your video and wanted to clarify this for you.
hey @jimmylin thanks for the comment, it's so amazing , it means that I can use Dlive as an Electronic Press kit and find more gigs, more students, more fans of my music, and not worrying about running an IPFS node that will slow my whole set up!That's a game changer for me...

Thanks for this, very nice info to consider here. Lot's of facts. Not so fast on the conclusion but I understand you got to eat..
How was your Dlive experience the other day ? Yes I think both of the platforms have their strength and I don't discard one for the other, but it's all about time dedication, why would have spend time making a video whereas I could make 10 times the money with a corporate gig, or even a restaurant gig?
So I think that's the real issue right here, the incentive need to be good enough , or regular enough for quality musicians to invest time and their money. Because it's gonna be difficult to attract some of the best seasoned musicians and singers on these platforms, without the right leverage :)

I really enjoyed this video. A lot of information, most of which I agree with. I've recently moved from DTube to Dlive and experienced those same issues with video format and streaming issues - but, I've fixed the streaming issues now so I'll be doing more of that too.
From what I can see, Dlive curation is more even, while on DTube a select few appear to get massive upvotes and others nothing.Thank you for this video @edprivat

Hey @adetorrent thanks for this complete comment, with everything that I live, some context, some feedback, and more importantly some compliments hahah! I need to be honest it's my wife @lionmom that did this thumbnail again, I sometimes bother her right in the middle of a meeting at work to do my covers and she always deliver some cool stuff!
Yeah i am Dlive converted, until they get a curation team going, it's gonna be harder to get me to go back to Dtube. Maybe posting once a week , for maximum coverage
You just summarized what I was going to write about. I ditched @dtube for now for the very same reason - favoritism of the same people. NOT COOL! And Dlive has so many more functions - it's everything that DTube is PLUS more! So a no-brainer for me to use it!
Well , they might be some changes in the future for Dtube but you are totally right about favoritism, and only a professional curation team can change this!
I still think Dtube will evolve, and get better, I talked last week with Heimindanger the creator and he is opened to a lots of things!
But Dlive is just having more success with their team, you cannot beat the way those guys work together like one unit, even in time of crisis!

Both of them, DTube and DLive have trouble streaming making the video almost unwatchable.
I have heard that on Iphone and Ipad , only Dlive works. My big computer has a delay on videos, wheras the old laptop has no problem , so I am so confused to where the issue comes from.
When you talk about investingion Dtuibe and Dlive did you know you can actually delegate them SP and invest in them without actually having to spend money? You can delegate SP and get rewards back inliquid SBD ooooh weeee its a whole new paradigm, even @inertia was doing this but for @dmania by @zombee and you can become a "chosen one": if you delegate enough (and this IS a whole new paradigm by the way, not just saying that. There really has never been any business model like this in history , there has never been a sort of meta money crypto currency where you can delegate your wealth to someone, that has never existed before

Well in this particular case , the video is for Music Content Creator, and if it's worth investing "TIME" and converting it into "MONEY", you are right that you can generate passive income through delegating SP.
