So far, I'm a few weeks into using Steemit, and all I see is a platform that promotes spammers and doesn't reward hard working creators. It's a shame too, as I honestly was hoping this would be a platform where writers like myself could grow. A few days ago I published an article about incentivized social media, and another about the use of bots on social media, both of which collectively took me over 10 hours to write!
Meanwhile, some spammer posts this junk post shown below and makes $40 for doing nothing:
Yeah, they made $40 for this fucking garbage! This is Steemit for you, a platform that promotes illiterate spammers who make no effort in the garbage they produce. That's the post I saw on the fucking trending tab the other day!
To be perfectly honest, I really like the idea of incentivized social media, where creators are rewarded for their hard work. But all I've seen with Steemit so far is a platform that shits on hard work and creativity, all the while rewarding lazy assholes for doing nothing.
And let me tell you, that's some quality fucking post aint it! What fucking moron doesn't know there's news on TV?
I have to say, this definitely makes me angry! Besides spending hours upon hours writing articles, I spent 4 hours working to produce my last Left4Dead video here. The question is, what incentive is there to produce great content here when the Steemit platform doesn't value it?
I feel you bro. Platform still needs to improve. I see people post songs like "smells like teen spirit" and earn money from that. Wtf?
Or they post someone elses youtube videos as a blog post, add nothing original except a short statement, then make money from it. I saw one channel on DTube that was straight up uploading entire movies! I really like what Steemcleaners does to keep copyright infringers at bay, but they need to do more to tackle the rampant issues with spam here.
