Where ever I go, there are always dogs who wait for some treats, cuddles, soft words or treatments. Bangkok is full of street-dogs, we call them soi dogs here. There is such a high number of soi dogs because neutering is not a big theme and all private organisations have to cover the costs through donations and private money. And many people still buy fancy dogs, and after they grew up and are not cute little puppies anymore, they get rid of them. And there is a big number of foreigners too...they buy dogs, stay here for maybe 2 years but when they move to another country - they leave the dogs behind...too high costs, too much hassle - who knows...I just dont understand it.
As one can not adopt all the homeless dogs it helps if we feed them, show them a little affection, care so they get nutrition and maybe dewormings and vaccines. And they give you so much back...just one look of them lets your heart melt.
They are beauties and so sweet, sometimes shy, sometimes so into you...following you, sniffing and waiting for a nice treat.
Highly trainable dog breeds like Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds and Collies are more kid-friendly than some other breeds.
We found out that the most kidfriendly and most educateable dog in our house is our pitbull- she is an angel and has an absolutely will to please.
Even I dont understand, thanks for the comment.
