A drawing i did when I was 9 years old of my dad and brother. I used normal pencil and it took a few hours to do.
The accuracy is not completely there but something about it makes me still like it. It might be the simplicity or their facial expressions that makes up for it.
A close up of my brother's face. It might be the first time I've seen him smile like that in years which might be what makes the piece interesting for me.
I always used to draw a lot especially between the ages 9 -10 just before secondary school.
My technique has always been to start with the eyes, because they are the main focal point of the piece and what I find brings out the person's personality the most.
The accuracy is not perfect here but I was quite young and I feel the final piece is still full of emotion.

That is an impressive drawing @iansart . I could barely even draw stick figures at that age :) I have always been interested in art.. my sister draws beautifully though. I guess its an ability which comes naturally isn't it.
Thanks! Yeah I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, it does feel natural but I've also had hundreds of hours of practice. :)
