Monkey D. Luffy

About the character

This drawing is simply made with a kindergarten drawing materials. I choose Monkey D. Luffy because he is one of my very known anime character. I did this drawing without looking any model to follow. It isn't hard because I've known the character very well. From reading the manga to watching anime, I follow One Piece for almost 6 years already. This is not a perfect art work, but I made this with feeling. As seen in Luffy's face, happiness has been within myself. The character live within my heart as I can relate myself to him. The adventure in life. The fighting spirit to reach the goal inspired me most to strive hard in life. He is my idol. Luffy don't know how to surrender so am I.

Edward Newgate (Whitebeard)

Whitebeard or Edward Newgate was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and was known as "The Strongest Man in the World" and "The Man closest to One Piece" after Gol D. Roger's death. He is one of my favorite character in One Piece anime series. When the character died during the Battle of Marineford, I cried on it. He is beloved by everyone as he is known as father. Though he is a captain, but he considered himself as the father of Whitebeard Pirates. He considered his all crew as a family, that's why I choose him to be my 3rd entry in the called challenge contest.

Hinata (Haikyuu)

With the use of pigment ink pen, I draw Hinata of Haikyuu directly without looking any picture or drawing. I watch Haikyuu a year ago. It just happen, I run to the store this morning and seen Haikyuu played in television at the store. To remember, one of my favorite sports anime series is Haikyuu. So I decided to make an effort of making a draw of Hinata, the protagonist of the anime by recalling only what I've seen on TV. Without looking any picture to follow, I made this drawing.

Here's my final drawing of Hinata.

I did my drawing in the most simple way that one can imagine.

I'm not a professional artist, I'm still mastering my own technique. I draw the way I like. Unlike others, I draw directly without making any visible line to follow.

So, here what I've done in making my drawing.

First, I made directly an edge line for the whole drawing that was pictured out in my mind. What I imagine about Hinata is what I draw.

After it, making the hair of Hinata directly.

Then the making edge of the eye. So direct.

Making the eye itself. Direct and simple.

The making of additional sketch to the body of Hinata, especially his hair.

Making a simple sketch in his nick.

And that's it. My Hinata of Haikyuu is made. I made this drawing within 10 minutes only.

I made this drawing unique and simple. This drawing should've win the contest. As they say, simplicity is beauty.
