Spider Coccoon

in #drawing6 years ago (edited)

There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

Nice idea/challenge and great result @veryspider! :D She does look a bit grumpy guess she wanted more attention than just one single line :P

it was a thingy that was prompted to me a while ago ! other people are super amazing with this technique... but i got super confused and this was as far as i had gotten to...

if you google it, there's amazing results like this fishie

and even this cityscape:

!!!!!

it's definitely teaching artists to establish how to make forms in a different and unique way. .. i think i might need to do more of them to level up in this technique...

but yeah, for a first time at it, it got really disorienting after a while... haha~

That are some cool results only fishy looks like both pen and ink? I think it could push you to get out of comfort and try new things so it could be good to try out. Trying to challenge myself a lot lately so maybe I will give it a try :)

This exercise is probably too challenging for me to do right now. But you are doing a great job drawing in one continuous flow line, spider! Especially on the face where it would be difficult if you make mistake :D.

I like that the picture becomes more abstract as it goes down. Great job ^_^.

AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

I think it turned out well. It reminds me of some of my dad's line work. I should talk to him about posting some of his stuff some time, actually...

oooh id like to see that, fromie :D

also, im working on pient right now :D i hope you will like it ^ ___ ^

I like her hair but I'm confused by her body. Or lack thereof. Or is that not the point and I should shut up now? I'll shut up now.

you're not the only one, as i said to sander, i got completely disoriented after a while since it was so confusing what was where and what was supposed to be what and then i stopped, wanting to assess, and that's when i picked the pen off the paper and so i failededededed

it is a weird exercise

........... kinda like my mind stretches the longer the line went on and that freaking line went on a long time and i got super confused...... or maybe im just not used to it, idk, but the longer the line went on it felt like i have been holding my breath for a looooooooooong time

chooooooooooooooo~

wow is a very interesting drawing, it is very sweet and tender.
I'm going to try that technique of not removing the pen, hehehehe I've never done it but I'll try it :-). You have inspired me It looks easy to do I hope so hahaha
I really admire your work.

yes you should try it, @francisftlp :D it really is like a different method of thinking about how to construct a shape or an idea :> and you can't cheat yourself ! as soon as my pen left the paper i was like "oh damn! that's as far as i got to!" maybe next time i'll be able to get farther and farther :D

also link me when /if you do one ! i wanna seeeeeeeeee

Spidey! I would like to invite you to join the promo-mentors discord server its a good place, pop on and if you have any questions you can ask in general or DM me :)

Very pretty :) I used to do this technique back in the day. It's an exciting way to draw because you never know what you're going to get.

oh you did??? i never tried it and it really confused me XD i'd like to see midlet's single line drawings... they must have been really awesome * ___ *

This looks so fun XD hahah your commentary on the steps tho hahaha XD
I wish I could try this sometime XD

hahahahah yes i was really confused and screaming

formatting is my enemy! yes !

What a challenge! I think you need a tripod to hold your camera in place. Trying to hold it with one hand and other on a pen and paper is another challenge of its own.

a tripod !!! that's an idea ! (。・o・。)

i will try to put something together... ghetto style, cuz i can't afford an actual tripod at the moment XD

thank you sojumama~

Its very cool art dude)

thanks very much !!!

Great drawing technique!

Thank you :D

I like this technique. Beautiful profile of the girl, and the fish at the bottom : )
