RE: MATRIARCHY & PATRIARCHY - THE OPPRESSION OF MEN - FINDING THE BALANCE- A STONE LEFT UNTURNED

You only have a problem with this statement because you have been sold a lie for so long, that you believe it without question.

The 70¢ per dollar is a false comparison.
It is, add up all the men, and then compare that with all the women.

It is comparing the worst, most dangerous jobs to the easiest safest jobs.

It is comparing people who work overtime, to people who work part time.

You see, men work harder, longer, become more specialized, work in more harsh environments, work more overtime, etc.

So, of course men make more.

But, if you are comparing a specific job, say teaching. Where men and women work the same number of hours, and have the same time on the job, then women make 107% of what men make.

And, women are paid maternity leave.
So, that makes their pay 120% of men in the same position.

The wage gap is a myth.

You're not really explaining the numbers. But never mind. I think it is true that men have also been treated badly in the past. It's been a long time since the feminine and masculine energies and qualities have been balanced and I think it is about time. For me that means that the feminine qualities that live both in men and women have to rise up to balance the overpresent and unbalanced masculine qualities out as in my opinion they have been having the over hand for quite some time now and it is not doing us or the planet any good any longer. I'm talking about vulnerability, receptivity, caring and gentleness among others. Real appreciation for these feminine qualities which include giving birth and taking care of children. That this is once again recognised as WORK and not as TIME OFF. Now you may not agree with me but this is my point of view, if you want to feel offended by it that is your choice, don't blame it on me.
