Philip DeFranco has already talked about his involvement in props on his second channel here. He makes an overview of what it is later on in the video. It has over 333k views. He shows a short Q&A here. (Same video)
I dont quite get it, about props project. For youtubers purpose, you can have something like Dtube or even Youtube combined with brave browser and wallet.....i dont watch TV and im very picky about the content i surf and watch online. Sooo not sure about how this interactive TV is gonna play out and if people is going to like it and use it.....
Sounds like the people will use it will be Cassey Neistat and Philip Defranco fans. If they are early investors, most likely they will try to switch over and bring their audience. Who knows if they have enough to make it stick.
I like the idea behind Props, but I'm not sure blockchain technology is best suited for this project. While freedom of speech is really important, some participants are more vulnerable(such as kids). As Adi Sidemane said himself "We have a higher sense of responsibility because we have cameras in kids' bedrooms".
Peaple are messsing around with the tech, many may not stick but those same peaple will go on to make better products.
I'm just waiting for someone to make "SteemVote" button you can put anywhare, like we presently see with the "Like on facebook". No idea if that would work, but every social media platform has something like it. The fact it actually gives them money would be an interesting dynamic.
You're right. If I had the option of voting via Steemit in the comment section of my local newspaper(just to name one exemple), that would be my method of choice for sharing my point of view. There is a lot of publicity all over those news website, that could help bringing it down. It's not always clear anymore what is publicity and what is not... or maybe journalists feel obliged to talk about advertisement companies sponsoring their organization.

I think it is too early to tell with these things, he did also recommend to use the brave browser to support smaller youtubers last week.
