Yes just imagine how big EOSfinex will be. If Bitfinex has tens of billions of dollars worth of bitcoin volume per year then imagine when you have it decentralized so the Americans can also use it (right now USA citizens are officially banned from using that market unless they do some "illegal" VPN usage and if they are caught they can have their money taken away so it is risky) anyway just imagine when Americans can finally use it when it is decentralized! Bitshares is so amazing because ANYONE can use it and isn't that how the internet was originally designed? And yes even North korea can even use Bitshares to trade their money in a global market which brings up many legal questions but it will only bring great publicity to DPOS systems like Bitshares and Steem! No one is banned and yeah that comes with the controversial baggage like North Korea given access but hey maybe that will end up helping their people and changing their government allowing or more transparency, same with China. I see Steem and DPOS as an incredible technology for social change and so I don't see too many things you could even use it for to do harm. No matter what, it seems whatever you do with DPOS steem technology is going to end up helping people rather than hurting them.
I see great promise in Steem too and their SMT internal marketplace which will probably have some Bit-USD type assets, using oracles to give us some sort of pegged dollar coins and such to allow trading on the internal market like we used to have when SBD was a Dollar and you could basically use it like Tether to trade steem with on the platform LOL Now you have to use Bitshares for that and there is so much less volume!
I couldn't agree more with you @tytran, the possible impact of DPOS systems like Steem and Bitshares is absolutely unpredictable. With Blockchain technology, the future has come!
