Well the season did end yesterday. It was a season with ups and downs! I did surprise myself with reaching Diamond II. I even had the idea that I could knock open the door to Diamond I, but that was a false feeling. At the end of the season I was even hard to stay in Diamond III.
I did invest a lot of Steem into Steemmonsters in the past season, but this didn't bring me forward! So for the moment, I will stop with investing and see how hard the current season will be before I purchase new cards!
Season reward cards!
Due tot the fact that Diamond II was reached, I was entitled to 65 rewards cards. I still find it hard to say if I was rewarded generously or that it is rather the opposite.
The most valuable card was the "Lord Arianthus" with a value of $1.19. My second. Which did brought up the question what to do with it. Combining them would give me a level 1 half way to level 2. But how long will it last until I get another!

Next season
The number of reward cards are adjusted. For both the daily quest and the season rewards. I do consider this a good thing. This way, the value of the new reward cards will be higher. For all reward cards in general, I think.
I did start the season in Silver I, but I already find it though to stay in there. I do know that in the middle of the season, things do change and that within a certain timeframe I will be easier.
The problem is that I do keep running into bots, which are just destroying my deck with the life cards. Bummer!
If you do want to purchase some more booster packs, I do want to advise you to do this within 2 days. After that the 10% SP power up promotion will end on January the 18th!

Congrats on that Diamond League!
Personally I keep my cards always until I can upgrade them, and only combine them when I have all needed. I think this way I can still sell them separately if I decide to. But I am only a beginner and don't know if this is really a good idea.

Well that is not a bad tactic. Most of the times, I do combine them instantly because that gives me a better overview what I still need to collect!
I am pretty happy with my rewards - I was hoping for few different cards to help level them up. I think we are all running into those life bots, and at times the game type dictates I will not win. Limited mana or magic really hurts.
Everything hurts at the moment. I even had to pauze the battles. Dropping to Silver II would mean an extra reward card less 😔
Disappointed that it is now two seasons in a row that I have not pulled a legendary despite reaching Champion Division. It has left me wanted the. ew legendaries very much as I consider just buying them but first I will probably buy some packs to benefit from the Steem Power refund promotion. Started in Gold and it has been tough to get higher this early in the season!

Whil I do appreciate my legendary card it is more or less useless. It now is half way to level 2! So no improvement for the card!
At the pace at which I am getting my ass kicked, I do even fear that I could fall back to Silver III or even worse!

I got to diamond II myself but I think that is my ceiling as you would need cards past level 5 which I have only one or two. The problem I am having is I have to level up all my summoners so my reward cards can fully function . I’m finding the earth splinter the best way to kill those life bots . I put 20 quid in there and levelled up the cards I needed to level up so hopefully I will be more comfortable in diamond this season but you are right. It is hard getting out of silver and gold. It’s like a snake pit

Good luck with the season. Personally I am a little disappointed that my investments did improve my ranking! I do wonder if I will reach diamond level again this season. Will try but I doubt it.
