Florence - Rumors have emerged that Fiorentina is paying a new contract signed by Davide Astori for his family. Fiorentina called on all parties to hold back.
Fiorentina captain Davide Astori died while sleeping, in a hotel room where his team stayed at Udine on Sunday (4/3/2018) morning local time. The 31-year-old defender breathed his last breath just hours before playing against Udinese at the Dacia Arena.
There has been no official report of the autopsy result of Astori's body. But city prosecutor Udine called the strongest possible cause of the 14 caps with the Italian national team this is a heart attack.
