Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata celebrates goal against Celta Vigo in La Liga match at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday (27/08/2016) local time.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has straightened out Alvaro Morata's recent remarks. The Chelsea striker complained about the role he received from Zidane in his final season at Real Madrid.
"When we won the Champions League, I played a lot of games though only on the reserve team," said Morata.
Morata regretted that he did not participate in any important Champions League or Spanish League matches. Morata's statement turned out to be very contrary to Zidane's opinion.
"There is no small game for me," Zidane said as reported by BolaSport.com from Marca.
"Every game has a different level of difficulty and everyone wants to be involved in a game like PSG, but that is not our main focus," Zidane said.
The Frenchman then confirmed Morata's central role at Real Madrid last season. he praised Morata's contribution to helping Real Madrid win the Spanish and Champions League titles.
Morata finally moved to Chelsea at the start of this season after often reserved by Zidane at Real Madrid .
