The Meaning of Family in my Opinion
For me, the family is everything, although in general the family is often described as a tree with branches, that sometimes grow wildly irregularly but we still have to pay attention to them according to their form and capacity.
Family are like branches on a tree, We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one
We do not choose our family but our family is a gift from the Creator, as we have them.
In the culture of our society which is still very strict in the customs and cultural ties of eastern, kinship relationship is still very thick.
Between family members, close family (family) and extended family attitudes of love and affection still continue to share, not an exaggeration when an uncle will give more protection to his niece (child) in comparison with the protection provided by the biological father the child, we used to guard each other and pay attention to every personal and family members.
The integrity of kinship ties in our culture, not escape from binding custom, meaning many events and ceremonies with the main purpose of strengthening relations and family ties and the embodiment of gratitude to the Creator
For example, the death ceremony will be held for seven consecutive days, here all family members will have the opportunity to visit because the long span of time, as well as the Wedding Party, will last at least three days, with the main guests being family members, either the near and far.
Uniquely, during the ceremonial and party processions, all activities and supporting facilities are prepared jointly by family members, from preparing the place, cooking, serving food to cleaning up the place and the equipment after the event is done together in community self-help, without the least having to pay for their services.
Relation to Family Protection ???
Our ancestors cultivate habits like the story above is not without purpose, I dare to conclude that all activities that take place throughout the event and customary rituals can not be separated from the part and implementation and campaigns to improve the protection of all members of the extended family, because with more and more intense communication in every family "Reunion" encounter, indirectly will increase the sense of belonging, so that mutual protection will also grow and increase by itself.
