Today, being a Monday, was gym day.
Fitness is a decent chunk of my life, and I love it. I like to challenge myself, and I push myself pretty hard.
Steering away from my regular cardio session of level 8 incline on the bike, and walking on a level 5 incline at random, I devised a new itinerary, which you're currently reading.
To change it up a little, as well as help my lower back tension, I decided to do a lower body workout.
I walked to the gym, which's approximately 20 minutes into the central business district, set my bag down and this is what I did:
- I decided to test myself on the bike by doing a fitness test. I pedaled until level 8 before I stopped.
- Afterward, I went on the treadmill (I don't like treadmills, covering 5 minutes seems to take eons)
*I covered 5 kilometers on a level 8 incline.
After my cardio warm up, I went to do a weigh in: I'm 65kg's, & mostly muscle. Following weigh in, this is what I did:
- 30 fast ab crunches.
- 30 tricep dips.
- 30 lunges.
- 30 bunny hops.
And finished up with a 40 second plank before I did some calf extensions, and supermans to stretch my back, calf raises and shoulder stretches, before walking home to do my physio excercise routine.
Upon arriving home, it was time to cool down.
After a lunch of tomato soup and brown rice, I commenced my physio routine.
This is what my afternoon resembled:
- 40 Second Wall Sit
- Seated Glute Stretch, turning left and right, holding each side for 20 seconds
- Hip Flexor Stretch, left and right, holding each side for 20 seconds
- Pelvic Tilt × 5
- Lower Back Rotation × 2, holding each side for 15 minutes
- Knee Lifts × 2, holding each side for 15 minutes
- Tennis Ball Releases of hips/glutes, holding each side for 20 seconds.
- Pigeon Stretch, holding each side for 15 minutes.
Mondays are great.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my work today. Embrace all your dreams!

If I do anything incorrect it's because I am very new to Steemit. I'm here to make some friends and look forward to seeing your feedback in the comments below!
good
Cool post. I like to ride on my bike about 10 miles to town and back through the trees and beside the river...
That sounds awesome, except on rainy days :D
I've done my hammy so many times I cringed all through the physio part of the exercise. That's the painful bit!
Since my jujitsu mishap 3 months ago, I have to do alot of the aforementioned points to recover movement. Somedays it hurts to stretch after the gym, but other days it doesn't. I hurt more if I don't do the stretching. But pulling hamstrings is never fun, hopefully you've recovered.
Sweet! You go belle, thats a hell of a work out to start the week off. Definalty sounds like you're living a healthy lifestyle. Thanks for sharing.
