Rice is the most popular food in Bangladesh. It is served with different meat or fish, vorta (mash) of different vegetables, daal (lentil soup), vaji (fry) of different vegetables. "Rice and Fish make the Bengali people" IT is the popular proverb in Bangladesh.
Kacchi Biryani
It is usually a featured dish for weddings, social gathering and celebrations. In the kacchi biryani, raw marinated meat is layered with raw rice before being cooked together. It is also known as kacchi yeqni. It is cooked typically with chicken and mutton but rarely with fish and prawns. The dish is cooked layered with the meat and the dahi (yogurt) based marinade at the bottom of the cooking pot and the layer of rice (usually basmati rice or chinigura rice) placed over it.
Bhuna Khichuri
Bhuna khichuri is the another delicious food in Bangladesh. It is cooked with different types of meat- beaf,mutton or chicken. Also it can have egg or prawn added to eat.
Morog Polao
Morog Polao is a very traditional rich item in Bengali cuisine. It is cooked with spices, yogurt and clarified butter (ghee) and the chicken has a light and yummy taste. It is a treat for meat lovers, because chicken is used in large portions here.
Patla Khichuri
Patla Kichuri is a romantic food of Bangladesh. During the heavy rain of a monsoon day, a hot plate of patla khichuri with meat is what any traditional Bengali people want.
