I started to get interested in cooking when i was just about 12 from my Grandmother and i really enjoyed it and it became my avenue to reduce my stress and i can be totally artistic about it.

This dish needs no introduction at all because the name of the dish already introduces itself RIGHT? In every Filipino meal , this Liempo is something that really standouts and mouthwatering.

Ingredients
1 cup soy sauce or 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (if you don't have)
1/4 cup garlic, chopped
1/4 cup calamansi juice
1 teaspoon fish sauce (patis)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 kilo pork belly
and a little salt (I usually add)

Note:
1.It is very important that you already have everything you needed for cooking so it will be a lot easier.
2.If you don't have a grill or a grill pan, you can also opt to pan-fry the marinated pork belly.

PROCEDURE

*Marinating

*Combine pork belly with the soy sauce, lemon, salt, ground black pepper, garlic and mix well. Marinade the pork belly for at least 3 hours. Mine i usually do it early morning, and at times overnight so it will have a lot of time to absorbed the mixture and be ready by afternoon.

*After that is you cook in a grill pan over medium-high heat. While cooking it, it is important to have a basting sauce that you can put on it while cooking. For my basting sauce i usually put Banana catsup and cooking oil. That works!

*Then arrange pork in a single layer on lightly-oiled hot grates and grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. When the pork begins to lose its pink, regularly brush with basting sauce. Continue to grill for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until pork is cooked through. It is important that you checked them for a while so you'll be aware not to overcooked it.

*Remove from grill and cut into serving pieces.
