back into subjective morality, or post-modernism, which is the purview of those who rule, wanting to create chaos.
pray tell, what is wrong with everyone following the ten commandments? would there be any crime or suffering if that ever actually happened? also, everyone would get at least one day off work.
The article does not say we shouldn't follow the ten commandments. That being said, none of us should be forced to follow any religion. I have deeply held religious views but I do not feel that government should push any ideas on the people. Yes, the ten commandments can be a great guide to someone's journey throgh life, but the religious path someone treads is a persoal revelation between them and God and no one has the right to force their own set of rules and dogma's on that individual.
except God. and the ten commandments are in no way grievous. nor are they 'religious instruction' but a fine code for everyone to live by.
you didn't really answer my question - would there be any crime or suffering if everyone followed them (voluntarily of course) ?
Voluntarily, absolutely not.
i rest my case. God is righteous, and knows what He 's doing, even if 99% of those who claim to speak for Him are clueless hypocrites. peace.
