Continuing with the games set in the 40s we have this excellent game called L.A Noire, but before talking about the game, let's read an extract from Wikipedia:
L.A Noire is a video game developed by Team Bondi and distributed by Rockstar Games. Initially announced only for PlayStation 3, Rockstar revealed that an Xbox 360 version would also eventually be adapted. Subsequently, Rockstar Games released the title for Microsoft Windows in November 2011.
The video game is a criminal thriller that combines elements of a non-linear videogame and a graphic adventure. It locates its plot in the city of Los Angeles in 1947 and is carried out by Cole Phelps, a novice detective of the Department of Police of Los Angeles that will have to solve a series of cases. As the name suggests, L.A. Noire and its history are very influenced by the black cinema of the 1940s and 1950s. Its setting employs elements of the detective cinema of the 1940s, such as corruption or drugs, as well as the use of a jazz music soundtrack.

It is a game made for those who want to enjoy a free experience control and investigation in 3rd person in the best style of his brother Grand Theft Auto (Drive, shoot, interact in a giant city).
We will play Cole Phelps, a former soldier of the Second World War who started out as a street cop, thanks to his merits and good research term becoming a detective although he has an internal and psychological struggle because of the war.

LA Noire was exceptionally worked on the details of the characters, evidence and signs of the crime scenes, even detailing the serial numbers of a blood-washed revolver, having to assemble a water heater to show where the tube came from that was a murder weapon in another investigation, etc.

But yes, not being a detective, the only thing you are going to do is investigate; You will have chases on foot or in car, confrontations in bank robberies and negotiations with criminals so you do not kill the hostages ... quite complicated the game does not hahaha. EYE do not stress the game warns you with sounds where there is a test nearby and has jokers to facilitate the questions in the interrogations, but are limited do not abuse.

Pro:
One of the most important and important pieces of the game that I love are the interrogations of both the witness and the possible culprits. At the beginning of the interrogation it is advisable to gather all the evidence from the crime scene to enable all the necessary questions, monitor well the gestures of the interrogated person, if he gets nervous with any question or if he is lying to you, analyzing it psychologically and if you want to demonstrate who is lying can intimidate you or show proof that demonstrates that fact. Also be careful when finding the culprit because you can imprison who is not or worse, when questioning the culprit you do not have all the necessary evidence to lock him up or that your interrogation is deficient, which makes it an excellent game in its kind research.
Cons:
By focusing so much on the graphic engine the game demands very high requirements in the pc, especially for the time it came out, generating bugs for example: you go with your car through the city and suddenly you have not loaded the other part) or slowness in the game, delays in the confrontations, bad shooting marksmanship, maybe by this time Rockstar Games has made a patch for these errors, I still have not seen the truth. Another drawback is that you must also know some English, since the game despite having subtitles in Spanish the rest is in English, for example: you must find a serial of a gun in a gun store and you should check the register of weapons In a book, when you open it, the subtitles will tell you in Spanish what you are pointing to, but you must go one at a time to know what it is and you would avoid it if the book were in Spanish...
Conclusion:
I recommend 100% to those who want to get out and squeeze their detective side, the game is quite demanding and does not forgive mistakes, if you want to move forward and be a good detective worth the redundancy you must watch the tests a lot, be attentive to the gestures of the people who you interrogate. To support the graphic and sound bugs when passing the game and especially to gather the newspapers of the city since they reveal part of the character's own history, otherwise it is an excellent work done by Rockstar Games and I hope that the next game so do not be so demanding with the consumer.
Anything the game has it in console but its graphic quality will never be compared to the pc.
