Do you believe our current entrepreneurial system is made up of mostly market entrepreneurs? Why or why not?
I believe the current system is mostly made up of marking entrepreneurs. From a quick google search looking up what a market entrepreneur is, you get the results of something similar to or exactly like “Entrepreneurial marketing includes innovation, risk-taking, and being proactive. Entrepreneurial marketing campaigns try to highlight the company's greatest strengths while emphasizing its value to the customer. Focusing on innovative products or exemplary customer service is a way to stand out from competitors.” The United States has an extremely competitive market in almost every service, food industry, etc. Each company has to focus on branding in order to survive and to profit. From commercials to social media to advertisements at a bus stop, companies keep on having to find new ways to appeal to consumers. Marketing used to not be as important as it is now. You can tell by the way this job market has grown and companies spending a lot more money on marketing. Almost every company has a specialized team for marketing. Marketing entrepreneurs are especially important in this time because there are so many misconceptions and false advertising that goes on, so companies rely on good marketing to truly grow. This doesn't mean that political entrepreneurs are on the rise and could potentially become the main aspect of the entrepreneurial system. Political entrepreneurs, I believe, are less known and understood to common people. Everyone knows about marketing because it affects the common person every day, but not everyone realizes how they are influenced by political entrepreneurs. The World Economic Forum defines political entrepreneurs are those who “create ideas and innovations, and act as new leaders in the field of politics. They are individuals and groups who seek to improve the science and art of politics through disruption.” I believe with so many movements in America, there will be a rise of political entrepreneurs, but as of right now it seems that the entrepreneur system is made up of mostly market entrepreneurs.
